Shuttle Launches the X50 All-In-One PC

Shuttle Releases XPC Barebone SN78SH7 for Phenom II Processors from AMD

Shuttle Inc., the market leader in the Mini-PC segment and manufacturer of Multi-Form-Factor solutions expands the CPU compatibility for the XPC Barebone SN78SH7. A newly published BIOS version now enables the use of AMD Phenom II processors. Besides current AM2 and AM2+ processors, the state-of-the-art 45nm models Phenom II X4 940 and Phenom II 920 with four cores are now also officially supported.

The compact XPC Barebone SN78SH7 with case dimensions of only 32.5 x 20.8 x 18.9 cm (DWH) uses brushed aluminium with a high-grade finish. The core of the robust Mini hides a NVIDIA GeForce 8200 chipset and the graphics processor of the same name. Picture and sound are transferred in excellent HD quality via the integrated HDCP-compliant HDMI interface. The package is rounded off by a PCI-Express 2.0 (x16) and one PCI slot, a Gigabit LAN interface and eSATA connectors. The Shuttle XPC Barebone SN78SH7 is now available at an RRP of EUR 281 (ex VAT). Shuttle Updates X27 Barebone with Dual-Core Atom 330

Barebone and nettop specialist Shuttle, has introduced a new version of the X27 nettop barebone, featuring dual-core Intel Atom 330 processor, running at 1.60 GHz. The X27D measures 250 (L) x 185 (W) x 70 (H) mm, and houses an Intel 945GC-based ITX motherboard featuring Intel GMA 950 graphics.

The motherboard feautures one DDR2 memory slot that has to be populated with a DDR2-533/667 MHz memory module, with up to 2 GB in capacity. It offers an IDE connector and two SATA II ports for connecting hard drives. Peripheral options include DVI and D-Sub connectors for video output, six-channel audio, and gigabit ethernet. The company marks this product as Windows Vista ready. It has started selling in Europe for €215.

Shuttle Prepares X27 Nettop With Tiny Footprints

Shuttle, specialist with small form-factor PCs, is planning to release one with an even smaller footprint, the X27. Shuttle says the new PC will use as little as 23 W in idle mode, and 36 W on load. That's takes it more into the power consumption domain of some business-class laptops. The X27 falls into the 'Nettop' category of low-cost desktop PCs, and uses the Intel Atom low-power processor. It also has a tiny acoustic footprint at a mere 23 decibels, that's -- quieter than a "bedroom at night" (late night), according to decibel noise charts, reports Smart Planet.

The low noise is matched by a suitably small case which measures 10 inches long, 7 inches wide and 2.75 inches tall; about the same size as Asus' Eee Box. Pricing and availability are yet to be disclosed. Detailed specifications are provided:

Shuttle presents the XPC Barebone SX48P2 Deluxe PC barebone

Shuttle Inc., market leader in the mini-PC segment and manufacturer of Multi-Form-Factor solutions, today unveils a new XPC Barebone from the P2 model series building on Intel's X48 Express chipset. Specially designed for high performance systems, the XPC Barebone SX48P2 Deluxe is ideally suited for Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad processors with up to four cores.

The XPC Barebone SX48P2 Deluxe is the first mini PC barebone ready to be equipped with DDR3 memory modules. A maximum capacity of eight Gigabytes on four sockets can be installed into this model. "The pioneering DDR3 memory technology promises more performance with less energy consumption and reduces heat development which is ideal for mini PCs," explains Tom Seiffert, Head of Marketing & PR at Shuttle Computer Handels GmbH. Shuttle Readies CarPC

Shuttle last week at CeBIT demonstrated its CarPC system for automotive integration. The upcoming Shuttle CarPC measures in at 11" (D) x 9.1" (W) x 2.8" (H) and is capable of operating under temperatures of 95 degrees Fahrenheit stably. The power supply integrated in the Shuttle CarPC has automotive specific features. It automatically starts the system when the car starts, automatically shuts down the system when the car is turned off, and also eliminates the voltage fluctuations. Specifications of the Shuttle CarPC include Intel Core Duo T2400 paired with the mobile 945GM chipset (featuring integrated Intel GMA 950 graphics). There's also an integrated high-definition audio with one line-output and one S/PDIF. Shuttle does not integrate an optical drive, GPS or wireless Internet in the CarPC; however, customers may add the devices via the four USB ports. The system uses a conventional keyboard and mouse as well as a touch-screen display for input.

Shuttle has announced the availability of its first quad-core powered small form factor (SFF) workstations. Shuttle's XPC P2 3700w full systems offer big performance in a compact package while retaining Energy Star compliance for low power consumption. Shuttle Launches its Smallest Media Centre Solution - the Shuttle XPC mini X 200


Shuttle Inc., introduced today the Shuttle XPC mini X 200 series. Similar to models of the X 100 series, these SFF PCs measure only 55mm in height with a surface barely the size of an A4 sheet of paper. The Shuttle XPC mini X 200 launches with two base configurations: the Shuttle XPC mini X 200MA(€948) targeting Media Centre users and the Shuttle XPC mini X 200BA(€743) for use in offices. Although its dimensions, the XPC X200 Series adopts Intel's Core2 Duo processors, fast DDR2 memory and a 3.5 inch standard hard drive. The integrated Intel graphics engine with DVI/VGA-out can easily work with up to two monitors. The Shuttle XPC mini X 200 is also equipped with a hybrid TV tuner, DVD Writer, infrared remote control with built-in receiver in the front panel, 8-channel HD-audio with digital SPDIF-out, integrated networking and optional Wireless LAN technology.
