ZOTAC Unleashes New GeForce 9300 Platform

Zotac 9800 GTX+ Accelero Twin Turbo Model Spotted

Here's the third GeForce 9800 GTX+ non-reference model in the works. Zotac has prepared a graphics card based on the GeForce 9800 GTX+ GPU with its own PCB design. As for cooling, they've employed the expertise of Arctic Cooling, with an Accelero Twin Turbo cooler for the GPU. Zotac may have worked on aspects related to the card's power design and memory, keeping in mind, that the 9800 GTX+ is a 55nm GPU which might draw lower power than its 65nm counterpart, keeping clock speeds constant. It uses clock speeds of 740/1836/2200 MHz (core/shader/memory). Notable PCB features include:
  • 0.8 ns GDDR3 memory chips made by Samsung
  • A 4+2 phase power design
  • Power input reduced to a single 6+2 pin PCI-E power connector

Zotac Ready with GeForce GTX 260 (216 SP) Amp²!

NVIDIA is preparing the launch of a revised GeForce GTX 260 graphics processor that has 216 shader units. Early performance evaluations show that the card is NVIDIA's sharp retaliation to the Radeon HD 4870 GPU, and it manages to outperform it comprehensively (covered here). Zotac is ready with a factory overclocked card based on the new GPU, The Zotac GeForce GTX 260 AMP²!. One way to differentiate this from the Amp! model based on the older GTX 260 core is the superscript "²" next to "AMP".

The card continues to use two 6-pin PCI-Express power connectors, it continues to have 896 MB of GDDR3 memory across a 448-bit wide memory bus. Clock speeds are stepped up. The speeds are 650 MHz / 1400 MHz / 1000 MHz (core/shader/memory) against the reference speeds of 576 MHz / 1242 MHz / 999 MHz. This product should be out by the end of this month.

ZOTAC Unleashes New Affordable GeForce 9 series

Zotac Working on External OC Control Panel

Reports suggest that Zotac is working on - and seems to have prepared - an external overclock controller for graphics hardware. The device is named Zotac NITRO Hardware OC Controller. It connects externally to a PC and provides the user with a quick display on the card(s)' important measurements such as the various clock speeds and the fan's speed along with temperatures on a LED composite display. The user can control it with three buttons The device sits on a desk stand. It connects to your PC using what looks like a USB connection and installed software manage its controls over the graphics hardware installed in the PC.

It aims to give users control over the graphics hardware even when say playing a game or benchmarking the hardware on the fly. As a standalone device this device could be priced at € 89 in Europe and US $99 in the USA and could be out by end of October.

ZOTAC Unleashes Silent GeForce 9500 GT

Zotac Readies nForce 610i ITX

And just when you thought the AMD 780G based ITX solution by J&W Technology slated for next week was one of a kind, (covered here), there already is competition for it, this time from the opposite front. Zotac has innovated an Intel + NVIDIA ITX board based on the nForce 610i chipset called Zotac nForce 610i ITX. This LGA 775 board comes features a single chip core-logic, supports the latest Intel processors including FSB 1333 MHz, the 45nm Wolfdale chip is supported, older quad-core chips are as well. Unlike the 780G ITX solution this features two full-size (240-pin) DDR2 slots, two SATA II ports and an IDE port. A single PCI-E x1 slot is present. The board in the picture only has one D-Sub display output driven by the GeForce 7050 IGP, and a 6-channel audio. This board isn't as feature-rich as the AMD 780G solution, but it's a nifty solution for internet shacks and cybercafe use. With even a cheap Pentium Dual Core E2000 series processor, it provides sufficient power for everyday tasks.

ZOTAC Extends Warranty of Graphics Cards Sold in Australia to 5 Years

ZOTAC has one more announcement to make. As of today, the comapny extends the warranty for Australian customers. The new warranty provides customers with an additional 3 years of warranty, for a total 5-year warranty on ZOTAC graphics cards. "Our new extended warranty in Australia shows our dedication and confidence in our products," said Carsten Berger, marketing director, ZOTAC International. The extended warranty insures all ZOTAC graphics cards sold in Australia are free of defects or operational failure within the first 5-years of ownership. The ZOTAC extended warranty applies to all ZOTAC graphics cards purchased after June 11, 2008 and require users to register the product to validate the warranty.

ZOTAC Extends its Warranty to 5 Years

Hong Kong VGA and mainboard manufacturer ZOTAC recently informed that it has extended the warranty on all its graphics cards and motherboards from two to five years. All users who have purchased ZOTAC product, will need to register here 14 days after the purchase date. This will extend their warranty from 2 years up to 5 years (3 years in China). After the 2 years regular warranty, ZOTAC will directly offer the warranty to the customer.

Zotac Shows off GeForce 8800GT 1024MB GDDR3 with Orange PCB

Right before the opening of the upcoming CES, graphics manufacturers are starting to show 1024MB versions of GeForce 8800GT. First to do that in public this time is Zotac with their redesigned GeForce 8800GT 1024MB GDDR3. While not AMP edition, the card utilizes orange PCB and 8 Qimonda GDDR3 memory chips. Inside the card's bundle, there is a DVI to HDMI converter.

Expreview has obtained some information on a future Zotac product that will use a reference GeForce 8800 GT PCB with Samsung 1.0ns GDDR3 memories and Nippon Chemi-con(NCC) capacitors, instead of the present Qimenda GDDR3 memory chips. Scheduled to be available in late November, the card will be factory overclocked to 700/2000MHz (core/memory) and will probably feature stand alone water cooling.

Zotac - New Brand of Graphic Cards


Zotac is one of the latest graphics card maker to enter the video market. It will appear at this year's CEBIT in Germany, at Booth B27 Hall 20.
