Introduction

We would like to thank CaseKing.de for supplying the review sample.

Amacrox is a relatively new company, since it was established in Germany on November 5, 2003. AmacroX’s product lines include computer peripherals and consumer electronics and their R&D division and manufacturing center resides in Shanghai.

In today’s review we will test the Amacrox Free Earth 88PLUS 600 W (AX600-88FE), which meets the 80 PLUS SILVER Certification and on top of that the manufacturer promises up to 88% efficiency. The AX600-88FE features four +12V rails and industrial grade components (i.e. Japanese capacitors). Without any doubt the most interesting part in this PSU is depicted on its fair price. If it manages to maintain a solid performance during our tests then it will definitely earn a good price/performance ratio, which will be of great interest to many users.

Amacrox states that the cooling fan uses FDB (Fluid Dynamic Bearing) technology but when we disassembled the PSU we found instead a plain brush less fan.
