Founded in 1992, Cooler Master is a computer hardware company based in Taiwan. With the MM712, Cooler Master not only turns the MM710/711 wireless, but also gets rid of all the holes in favor of a solid shell. Yet, at a weight of 57 g, the MM712 manages to weigh less than the wired MM711, which likewise featured RGB lighting but had holes. Furthermore, PixArt's PAW3370 sensor capable of 19,000 CPI is used, accompanied by LK optical switches rated for 70 million clicks for the main buttons. The MM712 is capable of both 2.4 GHz wireless operation and Bluetooth 5.1, with battery life cited to be 80 and 150 hours, respectively. The feet are made of pure PTFE, and a set of grip tape is included in the box. The MM712 also has basic RGB lighting configurable within MasterPlus+, which also has all the other usual customization options. Lastly, the MM712 is compatible with NVIDIA Reflex, allowing one to measure click latency on supported monitors. The MM712 is available in black or white.

Disclaimer:
On the launch and subsequent firmwares, the MM712 suffers from significant wireless motion delay in the range of 4 ms. This issue has been addressed with the most recent firmware (2.6.2/1.5.5), which is why updating the mouse to said firmware is strongly recommended. All assertions related to performance made in this review are based on the cited firmware.
