ECS LIVA Q3 Plus Review

Packaging and Contents

Being a pocket-sized PC, the LIVA Q3 comes in a tiny box with the top featuring a relatively useless orange image of the system. That said, the company is upfront, and the pocket-sized nature is advertised front and center. Moving on to the sides, the first panel just has the LIVA branding and nothing else, and it's the same on the opposing panel as well.

A quick turn to the left lists the simple specifications of the LIVA Q3 Plus, including the 8 GB of memory, 64 GB of memory eMMC storage, and AMD Ryzen V1605B processor. The panel on the opposite side offers all the detailed system specifications, such as the processor, memory, and storage options. It should be noted that the Ryzen R1505G is a dual-core processor, while the V1605B is a quad-core; both feature SMT (Simultaneous Multithreading). The system's dimensions are also listed here, with the LIVA Q3 Plus weighing in at 359 g and measuring 74 x 74 x 52.1 mm.

Upon opening the box, you will be greeted by the ECS LIVA Q3 placed neatly in the middle of the packaging. The majority of included components are placed around or below it by cardboard pieces that create partitions to keep everything neat and tidy. It is only the metal VESA mount that is placed on top, which likely adds a bit of protection for the unit during shipping.

The bundle itself is very much barebones, but does include everything necessary to power up the system and mount it to the back of a TV. It was also nice to see a new power plug design that allows for easy swapping of the various plugs depending on the market.
