A Closer Look

The unit measures in at 148 x 120 x 38.35 mm meaning it is a truly compact system. Looking at the top you have a smooth black finish with no indents or visual design elements beyond the LIVA logo in the center. The bottom metal plate is much the same besides the four screws that hold the shell together along with the two screw holes for the VESA mounting plate.


All the USB ports are located on the front, along with the audio combo jack and power button. In regards to the USB ports you have access to: 3x USB 3.2 Type-A Gen 2x1 ports and 1x USB 4.0 Type-C Gen 2x2 port. For improved airflow the left side has a large vented opening for the heatsink and fan to draw in fresh air.


Meanwhile the back of the unit is where heat will be exhausted out of the chassis. Furthermore you will find two Intel 2.5 GbE ports on the back alongside two HDMI ports and a DisplayPort. Turning to the right side you will find a vented opening serving the same purpose as the left side except you will also find a Kensington lock here should you have need of it.


To power the LIVA Z5 Plus, ECS has opted to use a Huntkey 90-watt power brick.
