This new version of the surface1030 is really an incredible mat, it has two sides and a nice design as well. It is comfortable to use even over an extended period of time. It costs a bit more than the base model but you still get a lot for your money. I think that the new design is really cool and sleek compared to the old orange/blue combo. The fact that it's arched makes it really comfortable and extends the usable area of the mat. All in all the Archetype 1030 is a nice evolution of the original surface1030.
