Introduction

ID-Cooling Logo

ID-Cooling, while still a relative newcomer to the PC-cooling market given it was established in 2013, continues to rapidly expand their market presence. With each product revision or release, they have shown improvements, along with quick adaptability to various industry trends. This includes everyone's love-it or hate-it feature of RGB LEDs. Not to be outdone, they have expanded their product portfolio to include RGB-illuminated heatsinks, fans, all-in-one liquid coolers, and even expandable liquid cooling options. With no sense of fear, it seems ID-Cooling will continue to bullrush the market whenever the opportunity presents itself, which should result in an influx of interesting products from them in the foreseeable future.

In today's review, I take a close look at the Zoomflow 240. This latest all-in-one liquid cooling option from ID-Cooling continues the RGB trend, like the Dashflow series. However, in this case, it's not expandable and uses a more traditional design. This results in a more affordable offering with many of the same features as the Dashflow series. Still, features and LEDs, while nice, are no replacement for performance, so before we get too excited, let's take a closer look.

Packaging

The packaging ID-Cooling uses is quite large, measuring in at 40.3 cm long, 21.2 cm wide, and 13.7 cm tall. On the front, you will find the Zoomflow 240 front and center, along with its RGB sync support and a mention of a few of its features, such as its premium sleeved tubing, high performance pump, and addressable LEDs that work with MSI Mystic Light and ASUS Aura sync. Looking at the side, you will just see the product and company names with an RGB circle. If you were not aware of it by now, it is in fact RGB/LED-equipped. Once flipped over to the back, you will find the specifications and supported sockets listed, which just so happens to include AMD's TR4.

On the right side we find a similar design as on the left. The only major difference is that the left side has the barcode, while the right lists the addressable LEDs and supported motherboard software. Mechanical drawings on the top list the unit's measurements for the pump and radiator. Flipping it over and checking the bottom, users will find the Zoomflow 240's various features in multiple languages.

Contents

Unlike ID-Cooling's Daskflow 360 which comes in a foam enclosure within the box, the Zoomflow 240 comes in a typical cardboard shell with a piece of foam on top. While I am a sucker for good packaging, having reviewed numerous all-in-one liquid coolers, this packaging has proven more than adequate thus far.

Like most liquid coolers, the Zoomflow 240 offers support for every modern socket you can think of, including AMD's TR4 socket, which was a surprise, to say the least. ID-Cooling has also made sure to cover their bases in regards to RGB LED support with both an RF remote and motherboard software support. This gives users options and allows for the cooler to function in any system.
