MSI Immerse GH50 Review

Last year, I reviewed the $50 MSI Immerse GH30, an inexpensive analogue gaming headset with surprisingly good acoustics and a great overall price-performance ratio. The MSI Immerse GH50 is a step up from that model. It's priced at $70 and offers USB connectivity, along with everything else that usually comes with it—namely, 7.1 surround sound and RGB illumination. The RGB ecosystem in question is, of course, MSI Mystic Light.

The MSI Immerse GH50 uses a pair of 40-millimeter dynamic speaker drivers. It comes with a detachable, unidirectional microphone and has a 2.2-meter braided cable with an in-line remote control and a USB termination. MSI also added an "Enhanced Bass" feature, which boosts low frequencies and causes the ear cups to vibrate. This feature is toggleable via a switch on the aforementioned in-line remote control.
