Packaging

The Venator comes in simple packaging with the mouse under a clear cover and a mention of its most prominent features on the front - namely, the top sensor, its high CPI level and tracking speed, and the switches for the main buttons. The back of the box provides more detailed information on its specs.

Inside, you'll find a sheet of paper with the Venator's default settings on one side and instructions on how to change these on the mouse on the back. The customization options allow you to change the three profiles to your liking, offering a variety of eight possible CPI steps and eleven different colors. You can also set how bright the LEDs will be, ranging from 100% to completely off.

These are also the only options to set up your mouse with as there is no software available if you, say, want to use settings between these preset CPI steps or macros. Apparently, optional firmware for those who want to set the mouse to 500 Hz instead of the default 1000 Hz is in the making, slated to be published sometime in the near future.
