QPAD MK-50 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Review

The Package & Closer Examination »

QPAD's new "budget" (€79.90) mechanical gaming keyboard is dubbed the MK-50. The MK-50 still allows you to pick the key mechanism of your preference, but lacks the driver suite, back lighting, USB ports, and audio pass-through of its bigger brethren. This basic version of the QPAD mechanical keyboard also does away with the soft touch on the keys, whether this is a pro or a con depends on your preference. The sample we received for review featured the Cherry MX Brown keys which provide a tactile bump at the actuation point. The actuation force is roughly the same as with the Cherry MX Reds, although it does have a small peak in resistance near the actuation point. The Browns are ideally suited for typing due to the tactile feedback at the actuation point.
