Sennheiser is probably one of the best known manufacturers of quality headphones. Sennheiser's most recent mid-end portable offering is called the PX 200-II. As the name suggests the headphones are not toally new, but basically a tweaked set of Sennheiser PX 200s.

Besides getting a minor facelift, the new PX 200-II also feature new pads which should improve the acoustic seal between ear and headphone. The launch price stayed roughly the same at $119. With all supra-aural headphones, the pads are incredibly important because they are constructed as closed back headphones. With the all new styling comes a new sleek volume control that is combined with a shirt clip. This feature is quite handy on the move and could only be bettered if it featured a fully fledgde remote control, but that is of course reserved for the more expensive PX 200-IIis ($149).

  • Headphone type: Supra-aural closed back headphones
  • Impedance: 32 Ohm
  • Frequency Response: 10 - 21000 Hz
  • Cable Length: 1.2 m (0.6 m to volume control)
  • Cable Termination: 3.5 mm TRS Mini-jack
