Packaging

SilverStone opted for bright, attention-grabbing packaging, with the front of the box showing the Hydrogon D120 ARGB in all its full-color glory. Support for various motherboard ARGB software suites is listed on the front as well. Moving on to the left side, you will find a QR code that links to the manual. The back is where the specifications and supported CPU sockets are listed, along with mechanical drawings of the cooler detailing its dimensions. Among other features, SilverStone lists the spring-screw mounting hardware, offset fin design, and nine-bladed, high-performance ARGB fans here.

A look at the right side gives us a visual look at the Hydrogon D120 ARGB's features. Meanwhile, the top has the product name and SilverStone branding.

Contents

SilverStone opted for foam packaging inside the box, which is always nice to see. More interesting is that the cooler comes with the fans pre-attached, which I don't see very often. Otherwise, the box and packaging did a good job protecting the product, so I have no real complaints.

Socket support is topnotch, with the Hydrogon D120 ARGB supported on all mainstream Intel sockets, including LGA775, LGA115x, LGA1200, LGA2011, LGA2066, and even LGA1366. On the AMD side, all sockets from as far back as AM2 are supported; only TR4 is not supported.
