The metallic cover helps remove the heat faster. It is also much more durable than a plastic cover.


This is the PCB that hosts the LED indicators and power button.

The SATA controller, an Asmedia ASM1062R, is situated close to Macronix MXIC 25L4006E CMOS flash memory. The ASM1062R also acts as the RAID controller, supporting RAID0, RAID1, and SPAN.


A pair of TPS65983 of USB Type-C and USB PD controllers have been installed close to a couple of voltage regulation modules that handle the CPU's power requirements.

Yeehon provides the cooling fan, and its model number is A8025L12S. It most likely uses a sleeve bearing, which doesn't last that long compared to fluid dynamic and dual ball bearings.
