The max power of 1250W can be delivered even at 50°C, according to XFX, so we will crank up the heat inside the hotbox. All protections are present except the rare Over Temperature Protection. In such a high-end unit we would like to see this included, too. The fan has 135mm diameter while the unit has rather large footprint with 190mm length, something natural of course since it has huge capacity. The warranty is long enough at five years while the price looks good for the unit's features.

There is only one +12V rail which can deliver more than 100 Amps, so practically the PSU won't have a problem powering even four high-end VGAs. The minor rails are quite strong, for today's system needs, while the 5VSB ideally should deliver at least 1A more.

There are plenty of connectors to deliver the huge power the unit can output. In total the eight PCIe connectors along with the two EPS, eleven SATA and eight peripheral connectors are enough to feed every desktop system out there, whatever power demands it may have.
Regarding cable length, all are long enough so there won't be any problems even with large, chassis and on top of that the distance among the connectors is the recommended one.
Finally, as you can see in the last row of the above table, XFX included a 4 pin FDD adapter for all vintage lovers out there that still use floppy disk drives, this connector is also used by a small number of motherboards to provide additional power.
The EPS and PCIe connectors use thicker 16AWG wires while the 24pin connectors along with the rest use the normal 18AWG gauges.

Since this PSU features a single +12V rail we do not have anything to comment about its power distribution.
