Storage Performance

Due to platform design, ASRock has had to add a fair number of additional controllers and hubs to the X299 Taichi so that you can have all the connectivity you need. All of these controllers are provided by ASMedia. I found an ASMedia ASM1061 and an ASMedia ASM1074, both chips that have had long-term use in the market already.

We do have a new USB 3.1 Gen2 controller, the ASMedia ASM3142. This is my first look at this controller, and it seems to be pretty good, honestly.
