After fully evaluating the Antec HCP-1000 it is time to answer the pressing question: Is the new Platinum HCP unit a worthy successor to the famous HCP-1200 ? The answer is definitely yes. The new Platinum unit aced all tests I conducted and easily proved that currently it is one of the best 1kW units on the market. With such low ripple on all rails, good voltage regulation overall, resilience to extremely high ambient temperatures, quiet operation even at high loads and of course top quality components used, this unit is a worthy opponent to the king of our charts, the mighty Seasonic Platinum 1000W. The Antec HCP-1000 has a stiff price, which however is the same as the price of its direct competitor, but I think that when it comes to PSUs you must see their purchase as an investment since most likely they will be used for many years, save you money if they are efficient and at the same time protect your system. They will also relieve you from any power issues you would face with a cheap PSU. Antec provides a seven year warranty with this unit and their excellent customer service will ensure your long peace of mind.

To sum up, HCP-1000 is one of the best performing PSUs I tested so far and it will easily handle power hungry systems equipped with up to three high-end VGAs. If you can afford it then you should put it on the top of your list since besides excellent performance, it has to offer quiet operation throughout a wide load range. Finally, although the Antec HCP-1000 fulfilled all of my expectations I am eager to see a Platinum 1200W unit from Antec/Delta which will continue the legend of the HCP-1200.
