ModMyMachine enters the mouse mat industry with a well performing aluminum mouse mat which features some very handy milling work. Using aluminum as mouse mat material is still quite controversial. The condensation issues are manageable but it is definitely a con present with all aluminum mats. Aluminum mats are slightly more durable than their plastic counterparts but not by a lot. The lack of a carrying case or sleeve is definitely a con for anyone attending LAN parties, and should be bundled with a mat that costs €39.90.
Surface wise the mat is very well equipped, gamers looking for a very smooth surface coupled with a really low drag should definitely consider the SlamePad. The surface of the SlamePad is one of the most picky ones around when it comes to mouse feet. There is a huge difference in glide between mice equipped with soft and hard Teflon feet.
Since the mat is available in a large variety of colors finding one that suits your liking is quite easy which is a major pro.
