Even with only 1 GB of RAM, the NAS performed pretty well in the multi-client tests, reaching a total transfer rate of 150 MB/s with five clients.
We also ran these tests with 4 GB of RAM and the newer 4.1.1 firmware installed on the NAS. The results are depicted in the following graph.
With 4 GB of RAM and the newer 4.1.1 firmware installed, the unit's speeds increased by around 20-30 MB/s in the tests we conducted, which is significant. The highest total transfer rate we measured with five clients was close to 180 MB/s, an excellent result.
