Here is one of the first socket LGA-1156 motherboards in the mini-ITX form-factor, certainly the first one based on the Intel P55 chipset. Packed in its 6.7 x 6.7 inch PCB are a 6 phase digital PWM circuit powering the CPU (socket made by LOTES), two DDR3 DIMM slots for dual-channel memory, and a decent utilization of the feature-set of the P55 PCH, which is cooled by a tiny low-profile heatsink. The PCH gives out three internal SATA 3 Gbps ports, and one powered eSATA port.
The 8-channel HD Audio also takes care of optical and co-axial SPDIF connectivity. Gigabit Ethernet, and four USB 2.0 ports make for the rest of the rear-panel. Two headers make room for four more USB 2.0 ports. The lone expansion slot is a generous PCI-Express 2.0 x16, which will accommodate any PCI-Express addon card. You will especially need it, as the P55 platform relies on discrete graphics. With its ABS II, debug LED, and rear-panel clear CMOS button, the board also tries to be as overclocker-friendly as it can afford to be, with its limited resources. Its pricing is yet to be known, though the launch isn't very far off.

You could build a freaking monster mITX system with this! SWEET!
that plus 5770 = potential win?
I'm thinking i7 860 + GT395/5970 :p But that might defeat the purpose of mITX hehe.
:O
If my 870 doesn't sell, I'd be so tempted to purchase this along with a 5770.

Why couldn't put this P55 system with their dual ION platform?
That I would buy, a dual system with a P55 main with solo PCI-E slot for gaming and an ION chip with onboard for downloading and 24/7 browsing.

DOES WANT
Seriously, this would make an awesome upgrade to my S775 Zotac ITX rig! HD5770 + 8 thread i7 in box that is 11" x 8" x 7" would be so much win!

Absolutely magnificent! Do want :D
Very cool! Bravo to DFI for trying to keep up with the times, let's just hope they can actually make this board available in retail channels other than just Asia and it doesn't have crazy quirks like many other DFI boards tend to be plagued with. We might have a winner here!
How long do you think it will be until Zotac has a P55 mini-ITX board out too?

looking good!
Great mobo for a Lan-party PC! :)

hmm,.. when I see the size of the motherboard i don't think about high end stuff.
does this thing OC?
does this thing OC?
Well it's a DFI and it has a CMOS Reset button on the back panel. I bet it does.
It's got a high-end CPU VRM for sure. That speaks of decent OC headroom.
Wow
Crap! One more thing to add to my dream list. ;)
Will probably end up being a replacement for my Zotac GeForce 9300 ITX Wifi. :)
win
oc headroom on a mini itx board  HOLY GOD. THATS SO FULL OF WIN. Even has an 8 pin cpu conector. Grab that, some high clocking ddr3, a Core i7 8xxS and the win is near :D
holy shit!!! I want this so bad:rockout::rockout:
heat???????..... surely a case thats going to be designed to fit this isnt going to do very well with the heat?
by: twicksistedThe ideal case for this is the Silverstone Sugo SG05. The front 120mm fan creates great airflow, and there is room for a CPU cooler up to 82mm tall. Someone at [H] managed to cram a Corsair VX450 and the H50 in there, so an OCed i7 ITX build with a HD5xx0 would definitely be a possibility

interesting :)
I am getting this :)
This is going to be my next motherboard.
this board is full of win, I think a custom made case (hello cyberduid ) would be the best go tho.
I start at the bottom with the PSU and a hard drive, probably sideways, with the board sitting atop it with a mid-high end GFX and good CPU cooler.
Sure it might not end up as small as a Sugo, but it'd would be half the size of the mini P180 or Cooler master 33X series cases.
