AMD Ryzen 5 7600X Going for $200 at Best Buy

Best Buy has slashed $100 off of the AMD Ryzen 5 7600X's normal asking price—North American customers can obtain these 6-core/12-thread processors for $199.90 a piece. Amazon US price matching the consumer electronics store's offer earlier today, but their stocks were depleted at some point this afternoon. AMD's Ryzen 5 7600 (non-X) processor is still stuck at MSRP ($229), so its X-model sibling presents a better deal at its current lower price. Buyers will have to splash out extra on a CPU cooling solution, since Team Red does not include a Wraith Stealth or Prism air cooler as standard with the Ryzen 5 7600X's retail package. AMD + Bethesda's Starfield Game Bundle partnership campaign kicked off last week, and all of the AM5 desktop Ryzen 7000-series models qualify for the active promotion. This plays a part in boosting customer interest, but a nice discount also goes a long way—hence the quick run on Amazon's supplies of the Ryzen 5 7600X.

Imagine if AMD was as aggressive in the GPU space.

That's cheaper than Microcenter, nice.

I actually hope Best Buy expands more of it's PC-centric selection.
The nice part about buying something from an actual store is that you can just go back there if there's a problem.

Cool, I remember getting R53600 + 3 months of game pass for 200$ too, Starfield I imagine is an even better combo. Great deal!

If anything Intel is the one being aggressive on the CPU side, which forces AMD to follow. If Intel didn't release the 13600K for $320, AMD would probably still be selling it for around $300, the same way they kept the 5600X close to $300 until the 12600K was released.

Lucky duck. In Norway the cheapest 5600x i found goes for 2038NOK which is 180EUR.
cheapest 7600x goes for 2916NOK which is 258EUR.
I feel like everyone in Norway is being screwed with price for literally anything.

7600x goes 250e here.

I guess while people in USA are buying them for 300$ there was no point in lowering price. Well, until now.

Most likely here people are not buying them for some good time and that is why the price is so low.

5700G goes for 170€.

AM5 motherboard price is just hurting sales. Good CPU price can be seen during some sale but board price is always sh*t in my region.

Intel is being price competitive, CPU purchases are/were slowing down, why are discounts not expected since initial launch of 7000?

For a short time 5600g was going for $100 US, I wish I snagged one at that time but perhaps around Christmas we might see some more good sales.

I usually prefer cheap and best deals. AM4 boards were released at nearly half the price of their corresponding AM5 boards. This is an area which needs improvement for AM5 imo.
That exact Asrock board isn't available in my location.
