D-Link Corporation exclusively partnered with Meta to launch the DWA-F18 VR Air Bridge, which received rave reviews after its debut in North America last year. The DWA-F18 VR Air Bridge was released in Europe this July. According to existing reviews, this product isn't really better than what virtual desktop wireless can provide for the Quest. That said it is convenient and easy to set up. Just don't expect it to eliminate wireless latency, it's about the same as other solutions. This adapter cannot address a big source of latency, video encode / decode times for the wireless video.

Definitely PR speech, the only that will reduce SOME latency is to use less bandwich which its contraproeuctive in VR... (or to not have any neighbours) and usb devices aren't that known for good latencies.. I rather stick to a wired rig and use a wifi ap/router with wifi6. At least thats how I use my Q2, with a switch in the middle and a wifi6AP. I always try to configure for the best speeds and latencies. I do remote playing so this is a must.

The air bridge is a completely unreliable and inconsistent product. Go look at Amazon reviews and you will see about 25% of users give it a ONE star and also look at all the issues on the Meta forums. I had one for a couple months and then one day it just stopped working properly and I was never able to get it to connect again. After no telling how many hours of troubleshooting I threw the POS away and bought a link cable.

I bought this and it works great. I haven't had any issues. I have a eero 6+ mesh system and this is as good or better when it's just me at home. If everyone is home and using wifi then it's a choppy mess with my eero 6+. I bought this just for that reason and it work out great. It's very easy to use. Just plug it in then go to your Quest settings and enable airlink.

Hmm... I'm assuming this Air Bridge just basically makes a separate SSID that you would then connect your Quest 2/3 to. Is it possible to change the channel to something else other than what your eero mesh routers are using? That may resolve the latency and bandwidth issues even when people are at home too.

Yeah, it's just an access point at heart. You just set it up then connect your Quest to the Air Bridge's SSID. Just to be clear since I bought the Air Bridge it work perfect whether everyone is on the eero mesh or not. It does auto select a different channel. It's pretty slick. I was on sale the other day for 55 bucks and for that it's a steal. I got it mainly for the foot print. I paid 89 USD for mine and I would do it again.

Ahhh okay I misunderstood what you said in your earlier reply. I thought you were still experiencing low WiFi performance even if you were already connected to the Air Bridge. You initially meant you got slow performance when you had your VR headset directly connect to your eero mesh network, but it got better when on the Air Bridge.
