SilentiumPC rolled out a pair of premium mid-range power supplies (PSUs) for gaming PC builds, under the the Enduro FM1 Gold. Built with a design focus on low noise, the Enduro FM1 is characterized by a compact design, with a unit length of just 140 mm, giving you more room to deal with your cable-spaghetti. The unit measures 150 mm x 140 mm x 86 mm (WxDxH), and is cooled by a 120 mm fan, which stays off until a temperature or load threshold is reached.

The Enduro FM1 Gold comes in two models based on output - 550W and 650W. Both offer fully modular cabling. The 550W model offers two 6+2 pin PCIe power connectors, while the 650W model offers four. Both offer 24-pin ATX, 4+4 pin EPS, eight SATA power, and four Molex connectors. Under the hood, the two offer single +12V rail innards, with 80 Plus Gold efficiency, Active PFC, and modern electrical protection circuitry, such as OVP, UVP, OCP, OLP, and SCP. While SilentiumPC didn't disclose pricing, it's backing the two with 5-year warranties.

Silentium PC announced the Vero M1 600W, a mid-range PSU that boasts of 80 Plus efficiency, and modular cabling. Under the hood, the unit features a single +12V rail design, with a single 50A rail, most common electrical protection circuits, APFC, and uses a 120 mm fan to keep cool. Fixed cabling includes 24-pin ATX, and 4+4 pin EPS. Modular cables include a 6+2 pin PCIe, a 6-pin PCIe, six SATA power, three Molex, and one Berg. Silentium PC didn't announce pricing or availability.

The first 1600W power supplies listed from the multi-award winning Super Flower, featuring the latest "Titanium" and "Platinum" Rated efficiency, bringing a new standard to power supplies, are now available. Super Flower, one of the worlds leading power supply manufacturers have added the Leadex 1600W to their range, offering up to 94% efficiency with class leading features, as well as offering a huge 1600W capacity, one of the highest wattage with multiple certifications in the market..

The Super Flower Leadex 1600W Power Supply features a fully modular design, 140mm silent DBB Fan, full Japanese 105°C capacitors, ECO Intelligent Thermal control system, a huge amount of connectors and single rail design. Here's the first picture of Corsair's second 1200-Watt PSU, the HX1200i. A notch above the HX1050W and one below the AX1200i, this unit reportedly features 80 Plus Platinum efficiency, a load-based fan, which stays off, and spools up only beyond a load threshold; and fully modular cabling, with enough juice and straws to go around for a high-end gaming PC build with three or more graphics cards. The "i" in its name denotes that the HX1200i will be a "smart" PSU, supporting the company's Corsair Link technology, which interfaces with your operating system over USB, letting you monitor load, efficiency, fan-speeds, etc. There's no word on when Corsair plans to launch it.

SilverStone's latest addition to its space-efficient SFX-L form-factor PSU lineup, is the 500-Watt SX500-LG. This fully-modular PSU boasts of 80 Plus Gold efficiency rating, and enough cabling to power a gaming desktop, with a single high-end graphics card. It features a single +12V rail design, APFC, and most modern protection mechanisms. A 120 mm fan is used, to keep it cool. Cabling includes two 6+2 pin PCIe, a 4+4 pin EPS, 24-pin ATX, three SATA, two Molex, and one Berg. SilverStone is expected to launch this PSU later this month.

DeepCool rolled out the Quanta DQ650 EVO, a new 650W, mid-range power supply. Offering 80 Plus Gold efficiency, this unit features semi-modular cabling, and is ideal for a single, high-end graphics card based gaming PC build, or one with two performance-segment cards. Its fixed cabling includes a 24-pin ATX, and 4+4 pin EPS. Modular cables include four 6+2 pin PCIe, eight SATA, and four Molex connectors. Under the hood, the unit features a single +12V rail design. It is ventilated by a 140 mm fan. Most common protection mechanisms are part of the package. CWT appears to be its OEM. The company didn't mention pricing or availability.

Lepa is readying a new line of high-wattage PSUs, for high-end gaming desktop and workstation builds, which feature multiple graphics cards, and maybe even multi-socket processors. Named MaxPlatinum, these PSUs will come in three variants, the P1050M, the P1375, and the P1700M, featuring 1050W, 1375W, and 1700W capacities, respectively. While the P1050M and P1375M offer their advertised continuous power output in both 115VAC and 230VAC areas, the P1700M is a different beast. It will only be sold in markets with 230VAC, and it won't support 115VAC.

The P1050M and P1375M come with enough cabling for systems with three to four high-end graphics cards. Their cabling includes a 24-pin ATX, two 8-pin EPS, six 6+2 pin PCIe, twelve SATA, eight Molex, and one Berg. The P1700M, on the other hand, is loaded for bear, with 24-pin ATX, two 8-pin EPS, ten 6+2 pin PCIe, twelve SATA, eight Molex, and one Berg. The P1050M features a four +12V rail design, while the P1375M and P1700M features a six-rail one. The three are originally manufactured by Enermax. Lepa didn't announce availability.

Japanese PC hardware maker Dirac launched its Tesla Cube line of high-wattage PSUs in the SFX form-factor. The series includes 550W and 650W models, which should splash your build with enough juice to run single high-end or two performance-segment graphics cards. The two feature single +12V rail designs, efficiency that meets 80 Plus Gold standards, and a fully modular cabling design. The two also come with adapters that let you install them on standard ATX cases. Cables for both models include 24-pin ATX, 4+4 pin EPS, two 6+2 pin PCIe, six SATA, and one Berg. The 650W Tesla Cube displaces Silverstone's SX600-G in being the most powerful SFX power supply. Silverstone's unit was showed off at Computex 2014, and is headed for launch later this month.

Be Quiet launched its SFX Power 2 and TFX Power 2 lines of power supplies for compact gaming PC builds. As their names suggest, they're based on the SFX and TFX form-factors, respectively. The SFX Power 2 comes in capacities of up to 400W, with enough juice to drive a gaming PC with a single high-end graphics card; while the TFX Power 2 comes in sizes of up to 300W, with the ability to power gaming PCs with performance-segment graphics cards. The TFX Power 2 300W flaunts 80 Plus Gold efficiency, and a dual-12V rail design; while the SFX Power 2 400W makes do with 80 Plus Bronze efficiency rating, and a dual-12V rail design.

SilverStone may have solved the single biggest hiccup for compact gaming PC builders, that of quality, high-wattage PSUs in the SFX form-factor, to drive high-end graphics cards, with the SX600-G power supply. Built in the SFX form-factor, this unit can supply 600 Watts of power, letting you drive high-end graphics cards, 2-way multi-GPU configurations using performance-segment ones, and perhaps even gluttonous ones such as the GTX TITAN-Z (NVIDIA rates its typical power consumption at 375W). The unit features a single 50A +12V rail design, and boasts of 80 Plus Gold efficiency rating. Other features include active PFC, and most common protection mechanisms. The best part? It features 100% modular cabling, so you can keep out cables you don't need from your compact build.

SilverStone announced the Strider Essential Gold line of PSUs that are 80 Plus Gold certified, offering a great bang for buck to mid-range gaming PC builders. Available in 500W, 600W, and 700W variants, the units feature fixed cabling, single +12V rail innards, active PFC, 90V~264V AC input range, modern PSU protection mechanisms (OVP, OCP, OLP, and SCP), and a unique new 140 mm fan that incorporates hybrid ceramic bearings, with normal noise output as low as 18 dBA. The three should occupy competitive price points.

At CES, EVGA unveiled two additions to its SuperNova line of 80 Plus Gold-compliant modular PSUs, the 750 G2 and 850 G2. Both units are based on a common platform, with a single +12V rail design. The 750 G2 has enough juice for dual- graphics card gaming rigs, while with the 850 G2, you could squeeze in a third card. Both units feature fully modular cabling, including modular 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS connectors. Both rely on large 140 mm spinners to stay cool. EVGA is expected to launch both a little later this year.

DeepCool launched the Quanta DQ-750W performance-segment modular power supply for gaming PC builds. The unit is partially modular, in that its 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS connectors are fixed; while all other connectors are detachable. Among the other connectors are four 6+2 pin PCIe, eight SATA, three Molex, and one Berg. All cables, including the ATX and EPS ones, are flat, ribbon-type ones, with no color coding. Under the hood, the Quanta DQ-750W features a single +12V rail rated at 62A. Its innards appear to be built by CWT. All modern PSU features are on offer, including active PFC, 80 Plus Gold efficiency rating, and protection mechanisms. The unit is cooled by a 130 mm temperature-controlled fan. The company didn't reveal pricing or availability details.

Chinese PSU OEM Great Wall unveiled a new 2,000-Watt power supply under its own channel brand (model: GW-EPS2000DA). Built in the 20 cm-long ATX form-factor, the PSU features a 90 - 265V input range, and is 80 Plus Gold-qualified (certification pending). It complies with EPS 2.92 standard, and supports low-power C-states on Core "Haswell" processors. Its maximum power output, however, depends on its input voltage. When plugged into 90 - 120VAC lines (US, Japan, Canada, etc.,) it caps out at 1600W. When plugged into 210 - 265VAC lines (EMEAI, Greater China, etc.,) it belts out its maximum 2000W.

Connectivity on this fully-modular PSU includes a 24-pin ATX, four (that's right, four) 8-pin EPS connectors (which can each be split to two 4-pin connectors); eight 6+2 pin PCIe connectors, nine 4-pin Molex, twelve SATA, and one 4-pin Berg connectors. The unit relies on a 140 mm temperature-controlled fan to keep cool. Great Wall is rolling out the unit in the Chinese market first, where it will command a staggering 3,998 RMB (US $654).

Available until recently only in the APAC markets (Asia-Pacific region), the 450 W and 550 W version of the Silent Pro Gold series can now be purchased in most EU markets as well. The European consumers tend to prefer lower output PSUs when compared to most other mature markets, especially the NA ones, so units like these two usually sell in better volumes here than elsewhere, fact which explains Cooler Master's decision to expand its European PSU offerings with two low(er) output models.

The two units discussed here don't bring anything particularly new to the table, in fact they harbor internal electronics that are well known and widely available, being sold by numerous other vendors already. The units are underpinned by FSP's well known Aurum platform, a group regulated design that is rather average in all regards except efficiency, being an 80 Plus Gold certified product. Cooler Master discarded FSP's multi-rail setup and opted for single rail designs with the Silent Pro Gold 450 W and 550 W, the two units also make exclusive use of Japanese capacitors. MSRP for these new Silent Pro Gold PSUs is set at €60 for the 450 W version and €70 for its 550 W sibling.

Despite its $900-ish retail presence, AMD's 5 GHz eight-core processor, the FX-9590, was designed to be an OEM part, where OEMs could deploy the right motherboard and cooling solution for the 220W TDP chip. One of the first OEMs to [dare to] come out with one such contraption is Japan's Mouse Computer. The company's G-Tune Masterpiece a1500BA1 desktop includes an AMD FX-9590 processor, and Radeon HD 8990 (re-branded HD 7990 "Malta") graphics card as standard equipment.

The Masterpiece a1500BA1 uses a Cooler Master Seidon 120XL to tame the 220W AMD FX-9590, and an unannounced MSI 990FXA-GD80 V2 motherboard to seat it. Other components include Kingston HyperX DDR3-1866 MHz 16 GB dual-channel memory, Samsung 840 Pro 256 GB SSD, an additional 3 TB HDD, a Blu-ray writer, and an unknown 1200W 80 Plus Gold-certified PSU. Windows 8 64-bit comes pre-installed. Based on the 32 nm "Vishera" silicon, AMD FX-9590 is an eight-core processor in the AM3+ package, with 4.80 GHz nominal and 5.00 GHz TurboCore frequency. The 5.00 GHz Turbo state spools up for all eight cores. Backed by a 1-year warranty (besides individual component warranties), the Masterpiece a1500BA1 is priced at a staggering 449,800 JPY (US $4,500).

Cooler Master is proud to announce the new G-Series Power Supplies for ATX-computer systems. This series consists of three models: 500W (G500), 600W (G600) and 700W (G700). During the recently ended Computex event in Taipei, be quiet! presented a wide range of new products, CPU coolers as well as power supplies. Among them a new upper-mainstream PSU line dubbed Power Zone, which consists of four models starting at 650 W and followed by 750 W, 850 W and 1000 W versions. This constitutes a premiere for be quiet! in that these are the first fully modular power supplies to be offered by the German brand. Another aspect intended to be addressed with this product line is affordability, which is something few of us would associate with the be quiet! moniker.

The four units comprising the Power Zone line are single +12V rail designs, use only 105° C rated capacitors and claim 80 Plus Bronze efficiency. They also make use of the be quiet! Silent Wings 135 mm fan, which is a Protechnic made Fluid Dynamic Bearing fan, probably the best fan you can have inside a power supply. The modular connector panel also houses three fan headers, feature carried over from the Dark Power Pro P10 line. be quiet! will offer these products with a 5 year warranty and pricing should start below 100 €.

At the end of the day, Lepa started off as a PSU maker, and that's where its expertise lies. The company unveils several new PSUs at Computex, the most notable of which smiled for our cameras. Things start off with the new MX series mainstream PSUs, which offer semi-modular cabling with flat peripheral cables, a single +12V rail design, and up to 86 percent efficiency. These units come in 450W (N450-MA), 550W (N550-MA), and 650W (N650-MA) variants. The 450W model is good for most single graphics card builds, the 550W and 650W ones can take on dual-graphics card setups.

Moving on, Lepa unveiled the BM "MaxBron" series 80 Plus Bronze certified mid-range PSUs, which come in 450W (B450-MB), 550W (B550-MB), 650W (B650-MB), 700W (B700-MB), 800W (B800-MB), and 1000W (B1000-MB) variants. The 450W is good for single card builds, 550W thru 700W for dual-card builds, and 800W thru 1000W for triple-card ones. These units feature semi-modular cabling with flat modular cables, a colorful rubber/silicone frame lining the unit's edges called Anti3s Q-Brick, which absorbs vibrations to reduce noise, and a hydraulic bearing 135 mm fan.

At Computex, BitFenix showed off its Fury line of upper-mainstream PSUs. Offering mid-range capacities of 550W, 650W, and 750W, these 80 Plus Gold-certified PSUs offer semi-modular cabling, a single +12V rail design, APFC, most common protection mechanisms (over/under-voltage, overload, overheat, and short-circuit protection), and support for new Core "Haswell" low-power C-states. The three come with enough cabling for single- to dual-graphics card builds, and are cooled by a temperature-controlled 135 mm fan.

Vantec showed off its three new PSU series; the entry-level Voltrax, which comes in 350W and 450W capacities, the mid-range Voltra, which comes in 550W, 650W, 750W, and 850W capacities; and the high-end Voltra+ series, which comes in 1050W and 1250W capacities. The Voltrax duo feature fixed cabling, with enough to go around for most single graphics card builds. Both feature single +12V rail designs, most common protection mechanisms, and 120 mm temperature-controlled fans.

The Voltra series, on the other hand, offers partially modular cabling, the 550W and 650W models are ideal for single- to dual-graphics card builds; while the 750W and 850W can handle dual- to triple-graphics card ones. Like Voltrax, Voltra PSUs feature single +12V rail designs, and common protection mechanisms, but use larger 135 mm fans to stay cool. Leading the pack is the Voltra+ duo, with their 80 Plus Gold certification, dual +12V rail designs (combination of 40~45A and 60~65A rails), 135 mm fans, and enough cabling for gaming PC builds with three to four graphics cards, and one to two CPU sockets (two EPS connectors).

FSP, a retail brand of PSU OEM Fortron Electronics, unveiled its flagship PSU series, the Aurum 92+ HW. These 80 Plus Platinum-certified high-Wattage PSUs come in 850W (HW850), 1000W (HW1000), and 1200W (HW1200) capacities, and offer efficiency levels that tend to go beyond 92 percent. Pictured below, the Aurum 92+ HW features a single +12V rail design, ATX 12V v2.31 and EPS v2.92 standards compliant, which gives it Core "Haswell" low power states support, an LLC full-bridge topology design, and connectivity that includes eight 6+2-pin PCIe connectors, 24-pin ATX, a couple of 4+4-pin EPS, and a large number of SATA/Molex ports.
