Overclocker extraordinnaire Roman "der8auer" Hartung has achieved a new world record for GPU clockspeed with the help of exotic cooling and PowerColor's RX 6900 XT Liquid Devil Ultimate. The PowerColor Red Devil Ultimate features the latest and greatest bin of any RX 6900 XT chip, featuring AMD's Navi 21 XTXH silicon (device ID 0x73AF), with improved clockspeed potential and lower leakage than the usual XT cadre of chips. Using LN2 cooling which dropped the operating temperatures of the card down to a finger-killing -87 °C, the overclocker managed to reach a 3,225 MHz clock - as reported by our very own GPU-Z, which continues to be the diagnostics tool of choice for graphics cards. PowerColor inadvertently put out press shots of the unreleased Radeon RX 6700 (non-XT) Fighter graphics card. The box design of the card clearly lacks the "XT" brand extension, and confirms that the SKU will feature 6 GB as its standard memory amount. The RX 6700 will also retain 1440p as its gaming performance target, although it remains to be seen just how much of a performance gap exists between it and the RX 6700 XT.

AMD's most recent driver release, the Radeon Software Adrenalin 21.3.1, added support for the "RX 6700 series," without singling out the RX 6700 XT, indicating that launch of the RX 6700 may not be too far away. We expect the RX 6700 to be cut down from the RX 6700 XT, possibly with a similar CU count as the RX 5700 (36 CUs). The memory bus width is unchanged form the RX 6700 XT, at 192-bit, but the memory amount is reduced to 6 GB.

"Hellhound is born, sharp of fang and razor-like claws, covered with fur that is tough like armour", was the start of PowerColor's last press release for the Hellhound video card series, a new entry into their lineup sitting alongside the Red Dragon and Red Devil graphics cards. The teaser image for the Hellhound aesthetics promised a black, silver and teal design language - and that's exactly what we got, strange PR texts aside.

The PowerColor RX 6700 XT Hellhound features a triple-fan cooler with translucent, blue-LED-illuminated fans (and with the middle fan being slightly smaller than the others, so as to generate some turbulence). The card features a dual 8-pin power delivery subsystem, a backplate with a small cutout featuring the Hellhound logo (absent of any RGB lighting, it seems), and an I/O set at 3x DisplayPort and 1x HDMI 2.1. The card is definitely a looker.

AMD has pulled what could be another sucker punch on NVIDIA with the announcement of its upcoming Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics card set at the $479 price point. Considering, of course, that there's availability; in case there's not, our very own btarunr defined AMD's claims quite well on the news post covering AMD's announcement. If there is actual availability, however, AMD has showcased eight different designs coming from its more high-profile partners: AsRock, ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI, PowerColor, Sapphire, XFX, and Yeston.

All the showcased graphics cards will feature the Navi 22 GPU and 12 GB of GDDR6 memory, but all of them should differ from AMD's reference design in the power delivery: dual 8-pin configurations are the expected changes to the design, so as to allow for higher performance, higher power limit ceilings, and better potential overclocks. Expect all of them - all of them - to be priced higher than AMD's suggested (and we know how that suggestion goes nowadays) MSRP of $479. All of these cards should be available in some quantity come March 18th.

PowerColor has begun teasing another entry to their graphics card brands: Hellhound is fated to meet the Red Dragon and Red Devil products branding in either physical or virtual store shelves. The tease comes a mere week before AMD is expected to launch their mainstream RX 6700 graphics cards (powered by the Navi 22 GPU with 2560 Stream Processors and 12 GB of GDDR6 memory), and thus, it seems legitimate to assume that the new series will debut with that particular AMD SKU. The color scheme for the new brand logo seems to tease a black, silver and teal design language.

Here are some of the first marketing pictures of the PowerColor Radeon RX 6900 XT Liquid Devil, the company's flagship graphics card targeted at PC enthusiasts with DIY liquid-cooling setups. The company had teased this card in mid-January, but is yet to formally launch it. The card combines a juiced up variant of the RX 6900 XT Red Devil PCB with a full-coverage water-block supplied by EK Water Blocks. This block is derived from EK's QuantumVector RX 6000 family, and features nickel-plated copper as its main material, paired with an acrylic top that's studded with addressable-RGB LEDs. The card is expected to come with slightly higher clock speeds than the air-cooled Red Devil Limited Edition. The package also includes a PowerColor-exclusive set of coolant dyes.

PowerColor Tuesday teased its upcoming Radeon RX 6800 XT and RX 6900 XT Liquid Devil series graphics cards. These cards are targeted at those with DIY liquid cooling setups, and come with factory-fitted full-coverage water blocks. The blocks are custom-made for PowerColor by EK Water Blocks. It's likely that PowerColor is reusing the PCBs from its Red Devil line of flagship air-cooled cards. The blocks feature nickel-plated copper as their primary material, with clear acrylic tops that are studded with addressable RGB LEDs that plug into the PCB's LED header.

Alphacool presents the Eisblock Aurora Acryl GPX-N block for the PowerColor Red Devil graphics cards. The blocks offer outstanding cooling performance thanks to the full cover design. The new backplate, which is included with the coolers, also contributes to this. This stabilizes the graphics card and ensures an even contact pressure of the cooler. The cold plates are made of solid nickel-plated copper. The coolers cover all relevant components such as voltage converters and the graphics memory.

Hot on the heels of its RX 6800 XT Red Devil unveiling, we have pictures of the Radeon RX 6800 XT Red Dragon, positioned a notch below the Red Devil. The Red Dragon comes with a milder factory overclock than the Red Devil, and hence a simpler cooling solution that's 2.5-slot thick (compared to 3-slot of the Red Devil). It uses an aluminium dual fin-stack heatsink design that uses a trio of fans—a smaller central fan flanked by larger fans—to ventilate the cooler.

The RX 6800 XT Red Dragon cooler is longer than the PCB by about 2 inches, so much of the airflow from the third fan goes through the card, and out through vents on the backplate. The power input configuration for the card is very likely the same 2x 8-pin PCIe as on the Red Devil. We also spy a dual-BIOS selector switch. Outputs include three DisplayPorts and an HDMI, there's no USB-C. It's also likely that PowerColor may reuse this exact board design for an RX 6800 Red Dragon card.

PowerColor today launched its flagship graphics card, the Radeon RX 6800 XT Red Devil. This gargantuan triple-slot, triple-fan graphics card is for maximum ventilation and cooling for the RX 6800 XT. It features a chunky aluminium fin-stack heatsink, a thin aluminium fin-stack heatsink that bares much of its metal through the sides of the card, and a trio of 90-100 mm fans with independent control.

The card uses a 16-phase VRM that pulls power from a pair of 8-pin PCIe power connectors. There are plenty of RGB embellishments across the card, in the form of six long silicone diffusers that run the length of the card, finishing off at the tail end like air-guides. The back-plate features an illuminated Red Devil logo. Display connectivity is same as reference—two DisplayPorts, an HDMI, and a USB-C. Other features include additional ARGB headers, and dual-BIOS. The company didn't reveal clock speeds, pricing, or availability.

PowerColor today has finally taken the lid off most of its RX 6800 XT Red Devil graphics card. As expected, we're looking at a triple-fan custom cooling solution with black looks and red and orange LED accents (whether or not these can be customized according to your rig's color scheme remains unclear). The front of the card really does look like the teeth of some devilish creature.

Rumor place the PowerColor RX 6800 XT Red Devil as launching as early as next week, a very sort amount of time since the first, AMD reference-designed graphics cards hit the market (that's tomorrow, by the way). The RX 6800 XT has been painted by AMD as delivering comparable performance to NVIDIA's RTX 3080 graphics card at a better thermal design power and with a more robust memory subsystem, so PowerColor, as one of AMD's most recognizable board partners, should be in for huge demand if events so unfold.

PowerColor, the creator of the iconic "Red Devil" flagship designs of AMD Radeon graphics cards, has today posted a teaser for the upcoming Radeon RX 6800 XT GPUs. With their custom PowerColor Radeon RX 6800 XT Red Devil graphics card, the company is bringing consumers their best engineering and design. Today, we are getting the first glimpse of what is to come. Pictured below is a backside of the GPU, with a dark metallic backplate, illuminated by the Red Devil logo. The teased picture shows a bit more of the card as well, where we can see the printed Red Devil logo. This custom design is expected to be a triple-slot and triple-fan design. With AMD reference designs being priced at an MSRP of $649, this custom card is possibly going to be pricier. The paint still hasn't dried on AMD's announcement of the RX 6000 series, which is the first time in years the company is aiming squarely at enthusiast performance levels against NVIDIA. Looking at our TechPowerUp's live blog and announcement threads, everyone not living under a rock is über excited for AMD's take on high performance gaming - and part of this may well stem form NVIDIA's difficulties in sating demand with what availability they can muster on their RTX 30-series. PowerColor, as one of AMD's oldest and most successful board partners, has already started teasing their custom version of the card, under their famed Red Devil product lineup.

The teaser doesn't show much in the way of details; we can see, however, some concept sketches for the graphics cards' visuals, alongside the fact that it is - expectedly - a triple-fan configuration. PowerColor is also running a giveaway for their Red Devil rendition of the RX 6800 XT; users need only retweet the company's post and follow their Twitter handle to take part in the giveaway. Details will obviously be fleshed out closer to the cards' official release set for November 18th; and as always, we can expect the Red Devil to launch with increased clocks and performance - and inevitably, higher power draw - than AMD's reference design.

PowerColor joins many other AMD Radeon partners in releasing enhanced video BIOS updates for its Radeon RX 5600 XT graphics cards to implement AMD's updated specification for the RX 5600 XT that increases clock-speeds and power-limits for the SKU, making it competitive against NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 2060. PowerColor saves its users the hassle (and risk) of updating their cards using bare ROM image files and ATIWinFlash, by automating the process via batch files. Unfortunately, PowerColor's updater appears DOS-based, and involves having to boot your PC to DOS and running the batch file.

Eligible models for PowerColor's RX 5600 XT Unleashed BIOS are the RX 5600 XT Red Devil (model: AXRX 5600XT 6GBD6-3DHE/OC) and the RX 5600 XT Red Dragon (AXRX 5600XT 6GBD6-3DHR/OC). Both cards offer the dual-BIOS feature, in which one of the BIOS is marked "OC" for the best performance, and the other "Silent," for the lowest noise levels. You're expected to run the updater once for each BIOS. Follow the instructions in the PDF file included with the BIOS update package, which includes instructions to make a DOS bootable media.

PowerColor today issued a press release where they present the world their new Red Devil and Red Dragon models of AMD's RX 5600 XT graphics cards. This comes after reports on AMD's move towards increasing TDP, memory and core clockspeeds on their new graphics card so as to better compete with NVIDIA's recently price-cut RTX 2060, which would make it a much better performer than AMD's RX 5600 XT at a slightly higher price ($279 vs $299).

Hence a reported strike back from AMD in increasing performance for their RX 5600 XT with increased power envelope (160 W over 150 W), faster memory (at 14 Gbps instead of the original 12 Gbps) and increased core clocks (1615 MHz gaming and 1750 MHz boost, versus 1375 MHz gaming and 1560 MHz on AMD's CES press-event slides). The change in configuration brought about changes in the card design, with the higher-powered Red Devil coming in with 1x 8-pin and 1x 6-pin power delivery inputs, instead of the firstly developed 8-pin only. The changes have been brought about by a BIOS change, and not all cards will ship with the new specifications. However, PowerColor said that a BIOS update will be made available for customers to get their RX 5600 XT on steroids. Of course, whether or not it should be the onus of users to do such an update (which may risk in bricking their graphics card) is another matter entirely. The press release follows.

PowerColor at CES 2020 took the opportunity provided by AMD's announcement of the RX 5600 XT graphics cards to showcase their offerings on that SKU. Based on a graphics card that AMD announced would be targeting the $279 price point, PowerColor will be launching two SKUs based on the Navi silicon: RX 5600 XT Red Devil and Red Dragon.

The RX 5700 XT Liquid Devil is based on PowerColor's RX 5700 XT started shipping back in November 25th.

PowerColor is readying a small form-factor friendly custom-design Radeon RX 5700 graphics card, called simply the PowerColor RX 5700 ITX. With a length of 17.5 cm, standard 11 cm height, and strictly 2-slot thickness, the card uses a dense aluminium fin-stack heatsink with four 6 mm-thick nickel-plated copper heat pipes that make direct contact with the GPU at the base, ventilated by a single 80 mm fan. More interestingly, the card draws power from a single 8-pin PCIe power connector (225 W max power input for the connector + PCIe slot).

Unsurprisingly, the PowerColor RX 5700 ITX sticks to AMD-reference clock-speeds of 1465 MHz base, 1625 MHz gaming, and 1725 MHz boost, with the memory ticking at 14 Gbps (GDDR6-effective). Despite its compact cooling solution, the card does not skimp on idle-fan-off. Display outputs include two DisplayPort 1.4, and one HDMI 2.0. Based on the 7 nm "Navi 10" silicon, the RX 5700 features 2,304 stream processors across 36 RDNA compute units, 144 TMUs, 64 ROPs, and a 256-bit wide GDDR6 memory interface, holding 8 GB of memory. PowerColor didn't reveal pricing of the card, as it will formally launch it later this month.
