Apple Boot Camp

Apple has issued a program that will allow you to run Windows on its PCs. The program creates a separate partition for Windows to be installed onto, and lets you choose which OS you want to run on boot up. Boot Camp, as its called, is currently available as a public beta, and can be downloaded here.

I'm curious as to why you'd buy an apple to run windows on it... they're so damn expensive. Oh well, at least the uber rich can play some games now.

i'd be more interested in seeing an app/boot manager/whatever that would allow you to run mac OS on a regular ol' PC.

but hey, that's still nice too...

I love this statement-

Boot Camp lets you install Windows XP without moving your Mac data, though you will need to bring your own copy to the table, as Apple Computer does not sell or support Microsoft Windows.(1) Boot Camp will burn a CD of all the required drivers for Windows so you don't have to scrounge around the Internet looking for them.

So no support, yet they take the time to create all their drivers for XP?

So they can do this but not allow their OS onto custom built PCs?

It's only a matter of time. OSX will be on PC's and we'll all be running our games inside windows virtual window.
