But then its kind of awkward to have it standing like a nomal monitor. You'd sit there like a zombie reaching for brains and wipe around the monitor... this would look VERY unusual, even more unusual then watching someone play EyeToy if you yourself don't know that game.

We need to change how screens are used. The viewing angle is set to be optimal for vertical mounting. What is really needed is a TFT where the bottom of the screen is on the desk, and it tilts 30°backwards. Much more ergonomic, less neck ache.

But if I do that with my existing TFT, as I tilt, the view quality decreases quite quickly, and the central tilt point means that the bottom of the screen is about 20cm off the table... meaning I STILL have to adopt a non-ergonomic head/shoulder position.

I remember back in the 70's they use to "bury" VDU screens at an angle in the desk... what happened to THOSE ergonomic rules?

That's a nice touchscreen IMO, goos size and specs, love HDMI and native 1080p :D

and lemonadesoda, you make a good point, I am forever looking for a better way to set up my multi monitor setup, I think your suggestion has a lot of merit for a lot of users, not all of course.

EDIT: Just looked it up and you are correct. So it seems that a laptop screen is probably pretty good then. I'll be damned.
