Resistent but not water proof meaning the washing machine will eat these for breakfast( but probably more from just them getting winged about in there) Electronics tend ot be fine if they get soaked if there's no power going through them.

actually my ocz pendrive survived about 10 goes through the washing machine and about 3 in the dryer before it finally gave in and stopped working

Works for me - the flash drive that I have on my key chain now easily dwarfs everything else. This seems to be smaller, and perhaps a little more durable. Not really concerned about sending it through the wash, as it would stay connected to my keys =)

I love the idea of this, rugged, water resistant, goes with your keys, mad props to Super Talent.

I only see one drawback which is if you have a shitload of keys you have trouble with actually using the drive/bending it/USB slots etc.

It will be a long time before you'll see USB 3.0 flash drives that small. USB 3.0 NAND controllers are still big (package size), so are the high(er) speed NAND chips. It's why most USB 3.0 flash drives look like what the first flash drives looked like, a decade+ ago, in terms of size.

That's fine. I'm just saying I'm not interested in USB 2.0 flash drives anymore, regardless of size.

Oh, and speaking of 3.0 controllers, I've noticed they tend to run a bit on the warm side.
