Intel officially introduces Woodcrest

After reading a lot about Woodcrest everywhere on the net it is now officially introduced. For the ones who haven't drooled over this one yet, Woodcrest is the Xeon counterpart of Conroe. It features 2 cores from 1.6Ghz up to 3+ Ghz, 4MB cache and most models come with a 1333MHz bus. A single CPU uses about 65 Watt with an exception for the 3+ Ghz ones which could take up to 80 Watts. A low voltage version (40W) is planned for later this year as well. Basically a great CPU on paper, benchmarks don't disappoint either though.

Check Intels article for more info.
