Scythe Announcing the Kaze Master Pro Ace Fan Controller

Japanese cooling expert Scythe is expanding its product portfolio by the new Kaze Master Pro Ace fan controller. The built-in technology is based on the already announced Kaze Master Pro 5.25 fan controller, which now comes with classy aluminum front panel design. Hence allows it to match more pc chassis on the market, especially pc chassis with an aluminum front panel.

New Kaze Master Pro Ace fan controller allows users to adjust fan speed of up to fans separately as well as monitoring up to 6 temperature sensors. Adjustments of fan speeds are being made using the 6 potentiometers located in the lower part of the aluminum front panel. Using the other two potentiometers located on the sides, it is possible to choose 2 of the 6 channels to be displayed on the built-in VF-Display (Vacuum Fluorescent Display).

Connected fans speed is controlled by altering of the output voltage. Each fan channel can be separately regulated in a voltage regulation range between 3,7 and 12 Volts. Users are able to monitor the actual fan speed on the VF-Display in 30 rpm steps up to the maximum fans peed of 9990 rpm. Temperature values can be displayed both in degrees Celsius or degrees Fahrenheit. Kaze Master Pro Ace is able to measure temperatures in the range between 0 and 100°C or 32 and 199,9°F.

Furthermore Kaze Master Pro Ace fan controller is equipped with various safety mechanisms. Hence alarms users visually and audibly when safe values are exceeded. Audio alarm signals can be turned off using a jumper on the rear side of the fan controller. All relevant information in regards to safety mechanisms is explained in detailed in the supplied multilingual user manual.

Scythe Kaze Master Pro Ace fan controller (Model No. KM04-BK) is available only in black color as of today for 34,90 EUR (excl. VAT/TAX).

I have the Kaze Master KM-02 (4 fans/4 temps) and was looking at this type as a replacement. I can't tell the difference between this one (KM-04) and the Kaze Master Pro... does anyone know what the difference is?

My current fan controller's display is fading on one half :(

Any ideas for another 5.25" fan controller with a sturdier display?

See the KM-03 at Newegg.com: Scythe Kaze Master Pro 5.25 Fan Controller

The last picture with the box shows model -03. I think they are a blend of old and new photos.

I own the -03 and it has an open back design.

The -04 has a closed box design.

I'm not sure of the new model -04 being much different. Potentiometers may be different design

-03 came with a warning not to have unit running so low that the fan does not spin as it could burn it out.

The chrome on the bezel and knobs is different from the all black -03.

According to New Egg and the Scythe website, the KM-03 has a closed back??? confusing- maybe this is a revision to the KM-03 and the original was open back.

Has your KM-03 display dimmed out?

No, only a few months old, still have box. Picture on back of box shows open design and green pcb. Made in China, wondering if it is a fake, all the way down to box and instructions???

Bought from Newegg so I don't understand the open back either, not what I expected, but it works. Side of Box shows a closed back unit!???

Maybe a mid run revision???

DC input = 5V and 12V
DC output = 3.7 -12V
Output amp = 1 channel:Max 1A
Temp Range = 0-100c or 32-199.9

@jsfitz

Is this what yours looks like?

scythe-usa.com/product/acc/045/km02_detail.html

This is the KM-02 that I have (with the silver border you mentioned and an open back). If so, either Scythe or NewEgg sold you the right box but the wrong controller :twitch:

Edit- My mistake, the KM-04 has the silver border/KM-03 is all black... sorry for the confusion but still confused about what model/revision you have????
