Galaxy Designs Supremely Overkill GeForce GTX 750 Ti HOF Graphics Card

Even as we rejoice the fact that NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 750 Ti is one of its first mid-range GPUs in recent times that can be passively cooled; there are those AIBs that are taking advantage of its low TDP in another way - milking the most performance out of it, using overclocking. The Galaxy GeForce GTX 750 Ti Hall of Fame (HOF) is one such card. It gives the otherwise sub-75W GPU a monstrous triple-fan cooler; and a strong VRM; to support some high (yet undisclosed) out of the box clock speeds. The cooler features a large aluminium fin-stack heatsink to which heat is fed by a couple of copper heat pipes; and ventilated by a trio of 80 mm fans. Under it, is Galaxy's signature white PCB. Galaxy may market this card in the Greater China region, while its European brand, KFA2, could sell a handful units in the old continent.

And then they make them cost nearly as much as GTX 780... never really got the point of insanely clocked mid range cards unless they keep the price very low.

This is more of a bragging rights thing IMO... just to prove that they can and they did...

May be excellent from a technology/capability perspective, waste of time and money from business perspective... :)

seriously guys? This is just pure fun tech at its best. Would be cool if this thing came out pushing an almost 2 Gigahertz clock speed..... yeah I know in a more perfect world and all :rolleyes:

Ok ill be honest when I saw this I just thought "WTH is the point of this" mostly because I see the limits of the cards are hit before almost any of the coolers hit close to their limits. So in all honesty its going to depend on how far you can clock it.

I mean if we hit 1300+ on it, that may blow my mind.

Big cooler on a small chip isn't going to help. It needs LN2 to get that far.

It will be too expensive and even overclocked to 1300+ its going to be slower than a stock gtx 760 so theres no point.

I don't think this is a bad idea for Galaxy to sell a card like this. The 750 ti series can oc on air anywhere between 1250-1500 MHz gpu core and 1300-1600 MHz memory ranges.

No matter what type of cooler is used, or even if the card comes with a pci-e power connector this card has a 75W limit set by nVidia. So unless nvidia unlocks that in driver this product exists because they can do it.

It's fun when you overclock a normal card to insane heights. Buying pre-overclocked has nearly zero fun factor.

Seems like the perfect card to pair with an overclocked Haswell Pentium. Perfect for those who want massive percentage overclocks but don't have the budget for high-end components or cooling hardware.

Well that has to be seen, at the right price point if it starts high clocked and allows enough voltage we might see some crazy performance. The 760 costs over 100 more on average (Some can be a bit cheaper than 100 more) than a normal 750ti so depending on where this lands price wise it could be a great buy.

Not necessarily, if it can be compared like an MSI lightning or Asus Matrix card this card could be unlocked pretty far. The HOF cards before allow some crazy overclocking so I would assume this will as well.

Why not just get this for the same price current 750 ti are going for

EVGA 02G-P4-3063-KR GeForce GTX 660 2GB 192-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card w/ ACX Cooler

It will net you similar performance than a highly overclocked 750 Ti while just being stock. Overclock it for more.

Dont know if anyone noticed yet but thats a 8-pin on the 750 Ti HOF.

While I expect it to be more expensive than most 750 Ti's and it's certainly larger than most I can't agree that it will be louder. With a heatsink that large on a sub-75 chip the fans shouldn't need to spin up more than a few hundred RPM max to keep this card more than adequately cooled even under the most absurd overclocks. It should be near silent.

Now all we need to do is replace those puny skinny fans with three Delta PFC0812DE-PWM fans. That'll make this card (*switch on*) REALLY COOL. I SAID IT WOULD MAKE IT REALLY COOL!

Well at least they added an 8-pin PCI-E connector for additional juice in extreme overclocking...

True, but the card is mostly white and silver so its got at least that unique color scheme going for it. I would actually love a rig build completely white (Just waiting for a motherboard now lol).
