S3 Drivers Get Vista Approval

For those who don’t know, S3 Graphics is a company which develops the Chrome series of graphics chips – although S3 was more successful before the 3D era, it is a company that still shows some potential and manufactures reasonable quality graphics chips. For anyone that uses a graphics card based on one of the Chrome S20 series you can now download Vista drivers (including those for the S25 and S27) which have been fully certified by Microsoft.

You can get hold of the drivers here.Source: The Inquirer

I think you're right - I've never had experience with them and don't know an awful lot, but if I'm right they perform similar to the Nvida 6600s, so not great but ok.

they're very excellent when it comes to using almost no power. I kinda wish they would eventually come out with something a little more high powered though.

S3 virge with a 3dfx voodoo - id like to see VGA makers go back to making 3d addon cards rather than multiple combined cards with 2d as well as 3d features.
