Intel reduces Pentium M price

In order to compete against AMD's Turion CPUs, Intel will drop their Pentium M 700-Series prices on July 24th.
  • Pentium M 780, 2.26 GHz (533 FSB), $637
  • Pentium M 770, 2.13 GHz (533 FSB), $637 -> $423 (33%)
  • Pentium M 765, 2.10 GHz (400 FSB), $637 -> $423 (33%)
  • Pentium M 760, 2.00 GHz (533/400 FSB), $423 -> $294 (30%)
  • Pentium M 750, 1.86 GHz (533 FSB), $294 -> $241 (18%)
  • Pentium M 745, 1.80 GHz (400 FSB), $294 -> $241 (18%)
  • Pentium M 740, 1.73 GHz (533/400 FSB), $241 -> $209 (13%)
  • all slower models will not change in price
    and stay at $209.

despite being an AMD fan, I'm with the P-M's all the way with laptops.. they're just too good...
