Sharkoon Announces SilentStorm 120 PWM and SilentStorm 140 PWM Case Fans

Sharkoon Technologies is an international supplier of high-quality, high-performance PC components and peripherals. With the SilentStorm 120 PWM and the SilentStorm 140 PWM, Sharkoon is now launching two fans which each have PWM control. Available as 120-milimeter and 140-milimeter RGB LED fans, and at a maximum speed of 1,400 revolutions per minute, they should always achieve the best possible cooling for the PC case thanks to control from the mainboard. Both models also have nine addressable LEDs and replaceable vibration dampers in two different colors.

Thanks to PWM control, the speed of the SilentStorm PWM fans is controlled exactly as required by the mainboard, up to a maximum speed of 1,400 revolutions per minute. The SilentStorm 140 PWM thus generates an airflow volume of up to 121.9 cubic meters per hour, while the SilentStorm 120 PWM has an airflow volume of up to 93.6 cubic meters per hour.
Runs Quietly
Thanks to PWM fan control and a fluid dynamic bearing, both fan models should be pleasantly quiet, even during maximum performance. At full power, the SilentStorm PWM 120 reaches a maximum of 20 decibels, while the SilentStorm 140 PWM reaches a maximum of 35 decibels.

Customizable RGB illumination
Both fans also have addressable RGB lighting that can be controlled with common illumination software such as Asus Aura Sync and MSI Mystic Light Sync. For the greatest possible compatibility, the RGB LEDs can be connected to the mainboard or to an RGB controller via either a three-pin 5V-D-G or a four-pin 5V-D-coded-G connector.

Variable Looks
The SilentStorm 120 PWM and the SilentStorm 140 PWM are supplied with replaceable vibration dampers in white and grey. Apart from reducing vibration onto the PC, the vibration dampers thus provide a better compatibility to the looks of the existing PC case.

Price and Availability
The SilentStorm 120 PWM is now available at the manufacturer's suggested price of 10.99 euros. The SilentStorm 140 PWM is now available at the manufacturer's suggested price of 12.99 euros.

Why all manufacturers of RGB fans produce such low-speed versions that barely satisfy the cooling needs of radiators. With 1400 Rpm 140mm the fens needs to be placed in a poosh pool configuration to be satisfying! 2000Rpm or even 3000Rpm is desirable and either way we have regulators on bios-driven connections on the motherboard or most splitters that can be subsequently regulated. Most matherboards have at least 7 fan slots and additional control software. Nobody needs useless decorations, even if they are cheap. Most AIOs have a FENS set with at least 2000Rpm.

Because way too loud. I'm sure the people buying these are budget buyers and wouldn't need to cool overly thick rads, more just like a fun rgb thing for a budget case. No one running a thick (custom) watercooling setup would buy these, besides there are plenty of high-rpm RGB fans. 1000-1500RPM is fine on most AIO's anyways, anything higher is just too loud and the cooling benefits would be minimal given how slim most AIO's are...
