It's hard to argue with the value of these. I actually prefer the smaller 7 and 8-inch screens for tablets. The larger ones are too big and cumbersome. I have a 10-inch tablet I barely touch, but I used my old 7-inch tablet all the time for reading web pages until I accidentally stepped on it a while back. I wish Amazon would make a version of this with plain Android on it, Fire OS is trash and their app store is worse. It seems like a hassle to sideload the play store just to get real apps.

As a parent from a Pre-teen and have purchased the previous years tablet for their kids i say these just dont get the job done. You cant add the tablets as part of the google family plan and have parental controls. The device has HARDCODED DNS servers that cannot be changed, the adds always go through to the tablet. You know what else also goes through to the tablet because of the DNS.... Porn. I didnt want to spend a great deal of money on a tablet that has a potential to break for a pre-teen but i was forced to go for the samsung galaxy tablets to get away from this.
