AMD Bundles Dead Island 2 and The Callisto Protocol with Radeon RX 6000 Series

In a bid to clear inventory of its Radeon RX 6000 series RDNA2 graphics cards in the lead up to its next-generation, AMD is bundling two of the latest AAA game titles. Besides this, the company has significantly lowered prices of its RX 6000 series over several months now. The company is bundling "Dead island 2," and "The Callisto Protocol" with new purchases of Radeon RX 6000 graphics cards.

New purchases of the Radeon RX 6600, RX 6600 XT, RX 6650 XT, RX 6700, RX 6700 XT, RX 6750 XT, RX 6800, RX 6800 XT, RX 6900 XT, and RX 6950 XT, will receive both games. New purchases of the RX 6500 XT and RX 6400 will receive just "Dead Island 2." The bundle is only available in select markets, and through participating retailers. Find where you can grab it, from the source link below.

TheinsanegamerNWell it doesnt help that the last year or two has been a bland beige wasteland of releases. If there were some GOOD games coming out people would probably be all over it.

Beauty is int he eye of the beholder, a square GPU looks way better then the crazy transformer bricks some are making.

And performance is WAY more important then looks, and the challenger D (which is cheaper) is phenomenal.
I got my niece a 6650XT for her birthday. It was cheaper than any 6600 too. When we installed her PC you could not even hear the fans and the temps and clock speeds are impressive. There is also a funny phenomenon where As Rock GPUs have been cheaper because of sentiment, by some measure than anything else being sold directly from vendors like Newegg and Memory Express. Better than Gigabyte and their robots not putting enough paste on their GPUs even. The As Rock 6800XT is $799 CAD on Newegg but the 6700XT is now $499 and that is almost what I paid for the 6650XT. I would stay away from Asus Dual as that is the only card I have ever had (5700) that just stopped working one day after I left it out for a few months. It is the number one seller and consistently gets restocked too.

Now is a great time to build a budget build. We are also building my niece her first PC ever, my Dad and I are re-using old parts and going half in half on budget parts. Hoping to get a 6600 xt this black friday for around $219, I seen it go that low before, but it sold out too fast for me to grab it. lol

jormungandi want to buy that magic ball...

... 15 days ago ~ month rx 6800 xt were running for $599 MSi/ XFX/ Powercolor , even the Asus Tuf came down to $630. i dont see them available anymore at amazon.
whoever grabbed them at that price wont complain, cuz now there are not available
I was keen for Gotham Knights and was even willing to buy an Intel test card to get it but I was not willing to do that so I bought the Game (not impressed really). With Humble Choice, Epic, GOG and even Steam giving free Games, these promotions are redundant. These are not the days of having a friend at Best Buy to get bundle cards once the promotion is over.

Well said!

I didn't think too much about the topic before I opened the box of my reference 6750 XT. I was kind of "meh, whatevs" with the online pictures, but darn, this thing is beautiful! So much so that I even forgive the 100+ °C hotspot temp it's running at. :D

You can easily even build a new budget PC for $500-600 (With a GPU) as a 5600, 11400F and 12400F would easily assist a 6600XT and you should be in luck I know I do not recommend the Dual but Asus is a good company and you are almost there. There should be some killer Black Friday deals this year on GPUs. I bet we may even see deep discounts on current AM5 stock sitting in Brick and Mortar like a 7600X for $299 and B650 board from Gigabyte or MSI for $199 but $479 with a combo. Those prices are in Canadian too.

This card is $227 US.

Guwapo77I'm not sure if these are the ones you're referencing. Also, I don't know your location either, but in the US...

6800 - a.co/d/j4VqRaQ
6800XT - a.co/d/iB4h5d9

No need to buy the 6800XT when you can get the 6900XT at the same price from AMD - www.amd.com/en/direct-buy/5458372200/us
I agree. I think the revised MSRP from AMD for the RX 6900XT have dropped to the RX 6800XT price bracket. Considering that both are using the same Navi21, it is possible that the supply of RX 6800XT is going to be low if the yields from TSMC is good enough to be sold as a RX 6900XT. RX 6800 is probably rarer because there is little reason for AMD to artificially gimp the number of CUDA cores to fit the RX 6800. I think whatever remaining chips that don't qualify as a RX 6900 XT will end up as the 6800 XT now.

I bought my Sapphire RX 6800 near the end of August and got three free games:
  • Sniper Elite 5 (about 1/3 through it)
  • Forspoken (not released yet)
  • Saints Row (not hearing good things)
I still haven't technically finished the free games that came with my 3800X:
  • Borderlands 3 (through most of it now)
  • The Outer Worlds (Crashed like crazy on my old 290X)
I would have preferred Dead island 2 over Saints Row from what I've seen of both, eh, whatever. I hardly have time to game any way.

To be honest, I don't think AMD has ever gimped any CUDA cores, if they did, AMD has some God tier individuals working for them.

We are unsure yet Mussels. So I hope you wait to turn on your worm hole generator before you do any quantum leaping here to determine what timeliness you wanna be in.

Well, looks like the Japanese folks won't get the pleasure to play "Callisto Protocol". It's too violent.
Didn't knew it's from Glen Schofield, cocreator of the Dead Space Series. One of my all time top single player games, so it's going straight on my wishlist.

Also looks like they're using the LED health & energy indicator on the back of the player model, as well as LED ammo indicator on the gun, which back then in Dead Space was just revolotutionary. Would be great if more dev's would do it, too. No HUD totally changes the experience. :) It's also better for OLED displays, lol.

DRG has ammo counters on most weapons, with all the optional weapon skins at least some of them include it

It's that blocky style graphics that not everyone loves, but you're right about no-hud looking awesome with it
