Glorious Introduces the all-new Raptor Clicky Switch

It's time to awaken your gaming instincts and unleash the beast within. Our latest proprietary mechanical clicky switch is now available, and here to shake things up with seismic power. As the final piece to our switch trifecta, the Raptor Clicky Switch follows the might of the Panda Tactile Switch and the sleek swiftness of the Lynx Linear Switch, completing the circle of our Glorious family of switches.

When crafting the Raptor, we spared no expense in the meticulous attention to detail. Thanks to its premium click bar design, which reigns supreme over the average click jacket in regular clicky switches, the Raptor produces a thunderous click sound on both press and release. Using tighter manufacturing tolerances, we've minimized key wobble, ensuring a consistent sound and feel for each switch. Additionally, its pre-lubricated components provide smooth, scratch-free key presses without sacrificing that beloved clicky feel. The result? A premium switch that guarantees unparalleled performance and durability.
In this blog post, we go in-depth on each of the aspects that make the Glorious Raptor Switch the best clicky switch in the last 65 million years.

What Makes the Glorious Raptor Clicky Switch Great?

1. Raptor's High-Quality Build Features a Premium Click Bar
The Raptor switch is no ordinary creature. It features a premium-grade click bar, which produces two deep, crisp clicks: a louder one during the downstroke and a softer one on the upstroke. This click bar design is superior to the conventional click jacket found on ordinary clicky switches, which offers only a single click upon actuation. The Raptor's click bar, subsequently, produces much deeper acoustics thanks to its dual mechanism. The result is a tactile gaming experience that mirrors the thrill of the hunt.

The Raptor's top-tier build also boasts high-quality materials and precision engineering. Its tight manufacturing tolerances eliminate key wobble, ensuring a consistent sound and feel between switches. As mentioned earlier, the Raptor switches are carefully lubricated to eliminate any unwanted noise and to ensure smooth, clean clicks without dampening the sound gamers and keyboard enthusiasts have come to love.

2. It's Built with Top-tier Materials
The Raptor's unique design is the union of form and function, crafted with the highest-quality materials for optimal performance. The housing, made from a flexible Nylon polymer, offers a rich and satisfying typing sound that truly amplifies the gaming experience.

The top housing consists of a transparent polycarbonate that maximizes RGB illumination, allowing your keyboard to shine in full radiance. Coupled with a low-friction POM stem, the switches provide super smooth glides for faster and more comfortable key presses.

Underneath the surface, we've incorporated a lightweight 62 g spring that ensures rapid key actuation. Premium copper contacts are electroplated to resist corrosion, and the semi-flexible nylon bottom housing enhances the switch's full, rich sound. These carefully selected materials not only promise significant longevity, but also a remarkable tactile sensation that's beyond ordinary.
3. They're Transparent for MAX RGB and Immersive Gaming
Visual aesthetics are a vital part of the gaming experience. Let your keyboard shine bright with the Raptor's fully transparent housing, designed for peak backlighting brightness and vibrancy.

The Raptor Clicky Switches engage all your senses. With each press, you get to feel the tactile feedback, hear each sharp click, and witness the vivid RGB illumination that transforms your gaming setup into a visual symphony.

4. Raptor Clicky Switches are the Best For Gaming
The Raptor Switches are engineered with a single purpose in mind: to provide gamers with the most precise sensory feedback for peak responsiveness. For those immersed in fast-paced action games like Call of Duty or Overwatch, where split-second decisions determine victory or defeat, the Raptor's superior tactile feedback ensures that every move is executed flawlessly.

Similarly, strategy and MOBA masters engrossed in games like Dota 2 or Civilization VI will find the clear, tactile feedback invaluable for executing strategies. Every detail of the Raptor Clicky Switch is designed to help gamers respond rapidly and confidently.

Compatibility and What's in the Box
The Raptor switches are compatible with all 5-pin (PCB mount) hot-swappable keyboards, allowing for quick and easy installation or removal. Each box contains 36 Raptor Switches, ready to elevate your gaming experience.

I used to use a keyboard with MX blues years ago. (CM Quickfire Rapid) Out of consideration for other people at night, I stopped.

A clicky switch that won't get the little clicker bound up when spamming a key is interesting. Tried using MX Blues to game once, but the click piece wouldn't reset if you're riding the activation point.

On the other hand, the marketing speak is a little heavy in Glorious' press release. If your product is cool, people will be interested without a bunch of cringe marketing copy.

No, some of us just prefer a switch that doesn't feel as mushy as a membrane like a linear switch or tactile switch feel like....but good luck with your authoritarian quest on enforcing silence upon everybody else :)...personally, I don't feel it's my place to have an opinion on what someone types on in the privacy of their own home, but I realize some of us still might be in living situations where they wouldn't want to wake up their parents :). On another note, isn't it about time we realize the whole "let's drag the people who like clicky switches" is as about as edgelord as whining about RGB?

Theres a good dozen types of mechanical switches out there, and none are 'mushy' or scream "needs more explosive"

I'm probably old enough to BE your daddy, so tone down the sass before I bring your mother into this.

Yeah the problem was his attitude, not his stance on the topic.

You know, the whole 'no personal attacks' part of the rule where he very mistakenly tried to call me an... authoritarian child living with my parents?
I don't even want to infract him, because that's such a bizarre niche thing to try and insult me with it's just sad.
