AMD HD 2900Pro Cards Now Available on Newegg

While we have been hearing rumors of the HD2900Pro for some time now, and AMD has just recently released the card to the public, all that press does no good if customers can't even get the card. Fortunately, American online PC part retailer Newegg thought ahead, and made sure to stock plenty of the HD2900. You can now buy three variants of the 2900Pro, from a Sapphire model with 512MB of VRAM for $265USD, to one with an impressive 1 GB of VRAM for a reasonable $330USD.

I ordered my other 1Gb card yesterday day:)

On the search it said they where out, but when you looked at the item there was some still left.

They do have another shipment coming in. I wonder how many of them there will be.

Yeah I noticed that the HD2900 Pro 1GB is not there. I went to leave a review for but I couldn't. Why do you think the took it off their site?

Suspect they remove items if they don't expect to have any more inventory coming in. Weird, perhaps we'll see it again. I just hope I don't get a reject.

From what I read on the net maybe only 10,000 of these cards will be out there.

That report could be wrong!!!

Today is PROs day here:)

so when they slice up the wafer for the xt gpu's,do they test every die or just pick say 5 out of ten to test? it must take an awful lot of time to test every chip be it gpu or cpu before binning lower.

From what I have heard in the past how they do it.

I think they use the center of the wafer because that is the best of the best and the rest are binned. Not saying that all of the outer edges are bad, but the center is where the good stuff is.

Also long ago during the older days when the mid cards where selling sooo well they binned the high stuff to make up for the demand.

Who knows what they are doing to be honest.

Think I am going to opt for the Powercolor, have read the forum thread you posted before DaMulta, there are 2 guys in there with Club 3D cards and one hits 860 on the GPU but the other only 800  knowing my luck I would get a 800Mhz one so migh go for the Powercolor instead.....anyone have any preferences for the 2 manufacturers.....I have never owned cards from either of them.

Like I said I think they are all made at the same place, but I could be wrong about that.

Haven't owned either brand myself.
