TimeShift Goes Gold

Sierra Entertainment announced today that TimeShift, the first-person shooter developed by Saber Interactive, has reached Gold status and will hit the store shelves on October 30th, for PC and Xbox 360, while the PS3 version is scheduled for December 4th. TimeShift allows players to master time to become the ultimate weapon. Armed with the experimental time-manipulating beta suit and a huge arsenal of weaponry, players have the ability to slow, stop and reverse the flow of time, allowing them to control several aspects of each battle sequence and puzzle situation. The PC single player demo can be downloaded from our servers here.

The demo was really fun. This game kinda flew under the radar for a while, I remember it though. Can't wait to play the full version.

it uses unreal 3 engine, but the demo at least was 9 only.

Looked and ran damn sweet tho, very tweaked DX9.

Yeah...I played the demo and it played exactly like halo. Not that thats a bad thing, but Halo 3 is still fresh in my list.

Fun demo too bad it's releasing after an onslaught of incredible games.... BioSho..OrangeB...Hal... that may make this fly under the radar.

I assume that in the full version of timeshift you get some form of upgrade to the suits powers later in the game, imagine reversing time upto 30 secs instead of 5 :)

Yeah, if done correctly, the possibilities are endless. It would take away alot of the linear feeling that most shooters have. Unfortunatly, I think that this will be a sleeper, with F.E.A.R Perseus Mandate, Orange box, Halo, Crysis, UT3, and COD4. The only good news there will be that it will drop in price quickly.

they have an example in the demo where a walkway is destroyed, and you reverse time to cross it. that takes about 5 seconds, but its quite awesome to see it.

Full version... i mean every game has an NPC rescue/protect mission - with this the NPC could die, you reverse time and walk in front of the bullet, start time up and bam - saved :P

awesome possibilities.

Or does Hellgate London come out on October 31st?
