Thermaltake Fanless 330 GPU Cooler Spotted

One of Thermaltake's upcoming products happens to be a huge passive GPU cooler named Fanless 330. This one aims to compete in the niche Thermalright HR-03 series created. In a recent video posted on YouTube by them, they they explain its features. Broadly, it consists of four heatpipes arising from a mirror-finished copper GPU block, two of these heatpipes flow through an aluminum fin array above the GPU and two of them go behind the PCB individually giving rise to fin arrays. In the video, they go as far as saying that the cooler is "specially designed to solve the noise problem that all extreme PC gamers have been suffering" without providing technical details hinting at what target GPU would this cooler go as far as it could to cool passively.

This wont be passivly cooling a HD 4800 unless you have really good airflow...

Very true.. On the other side this is one good looking cooler. Im sure this isnt intended for the 4870 series .. but if you have decent airflow i bet this would work on a 4850.

Wow, finally someone is taking on the Thermalrights. I love the design and can't wait to see some reviews on this one. Hopefully there's a way to attach a fan or 2 (since it's double sided).

lately it seems as though thermaltake has been bringing out some really nice stuff, i think they are finally putting a bit more effort into their products; which is about time, hehe

I posted this over at Hexus as well, but it looks like the 'indentation' of the main block of fins (where the logo is), could house a fan with some cable ties...

I think that's probably what it's for. I don't see any other good reason for it.

btw, the music in the vid makes it sound like a porno :roll:

my gf bought me a vf1000 (based on recommendation from my friend) and when she got it in the mail she joked about not wanting to give it to me cuz it was so pretty lol

I like the zalman better than the hr03 anyways. Copper, smaller, fan included, sexier, etc. I don't have a thermalright to actually compare temps with though, but I love my vf1000 and cnps9700 combo :rockout:

I hate the HR-03 as well, to big and bulky. And yes that VF1000 does look good :)

I have an Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 passively cooling my 4850, and this looks to be better. :)

Well, I wouldn't say I hate it but I definitely don't like the looks of it too much. I like most of the other thermalright coolers though.

FYI I've had my 4850 running under a Thermalright V2 passively :p

The Exiled Airman
looks sort of like the one found on Asus Graphics cards (the Round Part) It also takes Case cooling for such passive coolers to work, so they arent technically passive.

Any cpu cooler that has nothing to draw away the heat or "any" is a concern , its obviously for a certain market, good luck

When are developers going to try to make something radically new? It`s obvious that good ol` copper and aluminium won`t be able to passively cool anything with serious gaming power. We need new innovative materials, like.. now!

hayder.masterheat sink without copper like unarmed shooter
copper= more weight which can put undue strain on the cards mounting.
