Gigabyte Readies GM-M8000 Gaming Mouse

First seen at CeBIT 2008 this March, Gigabyte GM-M8000 is the company's high-end mouse aimed at providing gamer-friendly features. This mouse uses a colour theme of graphite-black fused with red. It measures 126 (L)x 74 (W) x 43 (H) mm. Tracking is carried out by an AVAGO 6090 laser sensor with its resolution ranging between 400 and 4000 dpi, which the user can set.

Its weight is user-adjustable by up to 38 g over its standard weight. The mouse features five programmable buttons, with an 8 KB onboard memory to store button-profiles. It features USB connectivity and the bundled Gigabyte GHOST application. Pricing is yet to be known.

That's Logitech G9 after been chased by a cat for a week :) Well if you switch the thinner grip or no grip at all, not hard to see the influence:

But 4000dpi is too much, my 2000dpi is even too much. Using just 1200 and 800 & 1600 as other settings if needed. (yes you don't have to use the 4000, but the laser is more expensive than a 2000dpi one).

edit: that 4000dpi did have a mental impact though, now my mouse feels slow, time to up settings by 50dpi :p

Looking good, I like the grey skin. Kind of industrial somehow, very nice GB.

Yeah 2000 dpi is almost always too much in my G5 too. Only in CSS I have it that high. In others I would almost say you loose accuracy if you lower the game slide so that 2000 dpi is controlable.

well its out now, i love this mouse, and it seems to be a real pain to buy one if you live in the US. Anyone know a good store that can ship international without a problem or huge shipping costs/taxes?
