Acer, HP, Dell and Lenovo Included in China Stimulus Program, ASUS Rejected

DigiTimes recently reported that four out of the top-five branded PC vendors - Dell, Hewlett-Packard (HP), Lenovo and Acer - have been listed as branded PC products eligible for subsidies under the China government's rural stimulus program, and as a result are expected to enjoy increased sales in the China market in 2009. However, the number five ASUS did not gain the government's approval. According to ASUS that's because the company market their PC products under multiple tradenames. BenQ was another company not to find favor with the Chinese government. Exact details concerning the deal between the listed manufacturers and the Chinese government are still unclear.

Sorry if I make people angry, which I do not mean to do that. Country=state=nation, I was tough it has the same meaning. Thanks to correct me.

But I read among the first posts and feel unfair. And many other posts at other forums too. I think people never check the fact about what happen in China and what is the best. They just listen to the media, which is try to sell more by making some unfair news. Making a lot of trouble and misunderstanding among other country people too.

The credit crunch is very unexpected, I hope everything back to normal again. I also hope India, Africa countries and the rest of the world can prosper and wealth too in the near future. May be a new better economy system will be introduce, better than modern capitalism-socialism and there's no more bleeding competition and sacrificing a common people who just want to live in steady, calm and happy.

thank you for your postings (all of them) made me think and will for some days.
i hope that more pc equals some more freedom of speech and maybe that helps more than anything.
Apart from all, I never felt like china needed any tech-support as they build many thing for them selves, chairing knowledge would help more than direct sales to boost their industry an keep product piracy low

Actually China people do not have any skill to make money, they do not have something to sell. They just hoping other country to build factory and give jobs to chinese worker. Or joint venture to foreign company for some little more money. To make other country willingly to build a factory, they sell their worker so cheap and work so hard so long hours. Many people called this as a modern slavery. Eastern Europe and other Asia countries do the same thing. What makes China different is because China willingly to do more extreme, and have a good service too from China government, compare to other Third World government.

You can see most of the china owner company product is ugly. Most of good product, came from foreign company who build factory in China. Most of China people still do not know about what a good product is, how to design, how to produce it, and how to sell it at high price. What they do is just pirating foreign company products, because it's good looking, consumer like it, and importantly sells well. The China people is really so backward and mostly is still poor, you can't hope a great product from this kind of people, until something must done first.

The true money is came from the education, technology or something that your product can sell better than the others. And profit more then the others. Not to work as other people worker anymore. More profit to make, more money came to China, and people standard of living will be risen by naturally. One day there's no chinese willingly to do some dirty and lowly job anymore. Just like Intel and AMD, if you can make a product better than competitor, you can sell it at higher price and profit more.

The problem is, if China company can make such product, have a good corporate system and advance R&D, just like rich countries. And finally winning the competition. There must be have a great impact to the world economy. Some of the old rich countries can fall, or in stagnant forever. I cannot imagine how the future look like, not include the rise of India and other countries too.

The Buddha said if the distribution of wealth between rich people and poor people is so far, or the economy system can't feed all people. There something wrong with the economy system. And also if people willingly to share a spoon of rice every times he eat, there will be no people in this world die in starving.

I think money and all economy system was being made just to make life more simple, wealth and happy. Not preventing or making more difficult. Sometimes I'm so regret born in the Third World country, really. I'm not a greedy person, no need to became among world richest man. I just want a good life just like most of European do. I think many people think the same.

The rise of the third world countries, credit crunch teach us a good lesson. I think all the world leaders should meet and discussing about the future. And make a good plan for whole human being, make everyone win rather than doing some selfish thing. The world is already change, the imperialist era is gone, the cold war is gone too, the world is one now (except some little countries). I think is a bad thing to make another trouble again.

Thats why communisim never works out... cos ppl have to work their ass off just to get a small salary/wage, which probably isn't enough to buy 2 loaves of bread in the US... And obviously ppl are very lazy and in communism you get a job fairly easily so ppl just slack off... Just take Russia for example, I don't see their economy growing as rapidly as capitalist countries, and the ppl in Russia also don't have fat salaries, and that's the reason why lots of ppl in Russia pirate stuff...

I am sorry that i will destroy your party about international how to .... and descriptions .

The true nature of a human , is to stay close to nature , to be farmer or hunter , to have it own land - food - animals - to be educated - and to create a family .

This is a mans life ..... his dream its not to buy nice electronics ...

Plus , you are both speaking about a land that you had never be there ...

China and Russia , are countries with allot of history & civilization .

China is there over 5000 years , China invent the gun punter ....

Do not continue this type of conversation , you are loosing face by showing to all of as ,
how little you know about the subject that you have start to analyze .

And i speak as a friend ... believe it or not .

RavenasDell will then have the opportunity to innovate better products (to compete with other companies) and improve their customer customer relations. Not everyone has the ability to make their own computer. Thus Dell has the opportunity to serve them.
This is backwards...

Dell owns Alienware?

Innovate new products? They don't build anything that needs innovation... The average 16yr old kid here can do all the work.

They are a box company that sells support, they don't even profit much on their largest market systems.
