" So far there isn’t any news around the corner of new PCI cards being released. PCI cards tend to have a much longer technological life span due to their simplicity. You can’t really do much to a PCI video card because they’re in such low demand. So unfortunately, we don’t have anything coming around the corner, but I do think there will always be something made available in PCI. There’s usually a new PCI card released for every 2 PCI-E series that are released. "

Wow I was off PCI in the late late 90's!!! Then off AGP since 2006! And just on PCI-E 1.0 now. Man PCI-E cards are often cheaper then PCI and perform WAY better.....But hey what do we know lol...

I am just reporting news people, calm down. I have a new rig now and i will be moving on to PCIE next month. I sent letters in to AMD and other radeon brands a few days ago, thats all. They finally got back to me today by email.

Actually i want to make something clear. I am not done with PCI cards. With my new rig yes i am done and i will be moving on to PCIE cards. However, with this new rig and using Vista(which is amazing btw ) it does not function well with older games(Compatibility Mode does not work with them) and i always said i wanted 2 rigs, one for the new/newer and one for the older games. So i will be picking up a cheap secondary computer(older/maybe a p4 or celeron d) later this year and i plan to use windows 2000 on it and i will continue to use and support PCI.

So see, everything works out well.

I don't see how he's trolling in this particular thread. I see lots of threads that I don't care about, but I don't spend time making fun of the person posting it.

My boss has a machine running a PCI graphics card; he didn't have the money to completely overhaul his rig and it worked fine for internet and such; he just wanted a little power for watching vids and movies, and only had PCI slots.

Saying "no one cares" is painting with an awfully broad stroke.
