Pirated copies of Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC) on file-sharing sites contain malware, according to users who have downloaded the upgrade.

Windows 7 RC, which Microsoft Corp. will officialy launch tomorrow, leaked two weeks ago, with copies first appearing on BitTorrent tracking sites on April 24.

Some of the pirated builds include a Trojan horse, numerous users said in message forums and in comments on BitTorrent sites such as Mininova.org.

More on source link. Take for what its worth.

My antivirus didn't detect anything..... But I got mine off another forum which gave a rapidshare link.

no suprise. theres always lots of fakes with viruses - and lately, REAL ones with viruses attached.

Its the risk you get for using leaks, if you dont get it from a site with comments and read the comments, you're asking for it.

The real one is out from M$
I'd rather be safe and get it from M$ then to get it fast with a virus attached.

i posted this last week http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=92752 and not all copys have the Trojan if the MD5 checks out then it Trojan free, plus the 1st copy that got leaked was Trojan free only after people that did not like the fact that it got leaked before technet and the public got it, added Trojans and then reuploaded it, and the pubilc RC is the same as the leaked one 2 weeks ago its got the same MD5, its pathetic how far some people will go to scare people of download it.

Yep, I just checked the MD5 from the 32bit ISO form MS and its the same exact MD5 as the 1 that was leaked.

I got mine a couple weeks ago when they were first leaked. And mine is trojan/virus free.

I'm free!
