X1900gt Unlock Bios Found!!!

Don't underestimate people's staying power if you can get a ferrari at the price of a toyota ;)

Hi this is my first post on these forums. I found these forums because of this thread and read it all the way from page 1, what a journy!

Its a shame there was no outcome. I have the HIS 1900GT LE and would love to find a unlockable bios for it.

I took the cooler off this board the other day and found a dip switch on the back, does anyone know what its for?

prob. tv output pal/ntsc

Pal and NTSC are diferent colour umm formats for diferent countrys in canada USA we use NTSC, South America is Pal, Asia Pal, some if not all Europe is pal.

I know what is NTSC and PAl, but... I don't know what want you to say with that: prob. tv output pal/ntsc

that it probably is the tv output switch to choose pal or ntsc, clearer now?

well i have been following this thread for a while and i got my x1900gt 2weeks ago
first off all my bios is 1 i have not seen in this thread (mb because its 57pages long or mb because its new or smth? but nvm)
device id is 724B
and it says it has an XL core
R580 XL A22 BIOS
0B12 subsystem iid
1002 subvendorid

i hope i can unlock it to xt with the new 256mb xts coming
has any1 oced it with a zalman v900 cu?if yes which results did u get
i got to xt clock with like 60c

how do you switch between the tv modes?

Thx

well since I'm not sure they even are for pal/ntsc, I wouldnt know, mabye in ccc, maybe by flipping a switch, If you still want to know what it is for sure, flip the switches.. mabye they unlock the last 4 pipes, maybe they do nothing, or maybe they invite collin farell :P anyway, I don't think anyone knows 100% certain what they are (except ATi people)

Will my X1900GT be able to unlock?

No, you have the XL core, you need the Pro core
only 3 cards have been unlocked as of now(correct?), and they are Pro core with the 0x3FE4 Pipeline.

Tofu: you should change the "unlock pending" to "non-unlockable" and mabye make it clearer thet it is ONLY the PRO cores that are unlockable so we don't get 15 pages of people posting bioses and screen images of xl cores.. (wich seems to be the trend lately, people buying the X1900GT's thinking it has unlock potential)

Sorry for the noobness. Truth is I tweaked out an "in-store-credit" deal with CompUSA and was able to pick up the X1900GT with some in store credit to spare. I wanted the X1900XT(X) but they have stopped supplying those there.

x1900xtx 256mb bios

I have modified a x1900xtx bios to be 256mb. if someone can find a x1900xt bios i can try modify that also. dont know if it will work. could someone check the bios for errors. try at your own risk.

OH MY GOD!

How much voltage does put this guy? 1.60 to gpu and 2.50 to mem? :o

HELP I need a few things Clarified

I hopefully I can get Tofu and Hot_fifty to reply. First Off I started reading the FIRST 150 plus replies on this topic and still only get to 12 pages.

So I wanted to know quick questions to these questions.

1. What GPU voltage should I attribute to certain clocks. E.G. is (600-625 = 1.3v) / (625 - 650 = 1.35) / (650-675 = 1.4) / (675 - 700 = 1.5).

I am asking because Tofu said in the first post change to 1.38. I know its for x1800 gto but he said you can use it for x1900gt. Then later I think he said the max is 1.35 for aircool gpu.

So what range MHZ to what voltage I should use for the gpu? And how do you calcualte the other decimals places like that sapphire mod with 1.4125 volts for gpu. I do you just go up by 0.005 until you reach a desired MHZ with less than 80C mark without or with aftermarket cooler.

2. Can I set the mem voltage?

3. Is atitool more stable for voltage changing for ATI x1900GT gpu/mem, and fan monitoring/controls???? I think the temperature gauges are accurate. But state your opinions.

3a.So I will know if I have change the voltage via bios tampering by myself like http://www.ocforums.com/showpost.php?p=4457340&postcount=45.

Or can AtiTool beta 14 do that for me now?

4. How can I kill the Ati2evxx.exe ?

Thats it for now until I get my ATI x1900gt. Or read some more of the posts in this thread. Thanks. :D

Cheers.

there is a ATiTool beta 16 r3 or sumthn but too tired to link to it

No need to be that high. Because his score and mine are not that much different.

Here's mine. GPU/Mem Voltage: 1.375v/2.1v. Running on watercooling for CPU and GPU.

Hi Matrixzer0,
Welcome to the forum. :)

>> "What Voltage to set" is more important on what type of cooling you are using then on increase in Mhz. There is an artical in techpowerup called "Radeon X800 Pro/XT/XT PE Voltmods". See link below.

http://www.techpowerup.com/articles/overclocking/voltmods/101

In the artical, the there is a chart on Max. Safe Voltage. You can use this as a rough guide.

>> I'm using the ATI Tools "GT" version. It works inculding adjusting voltages. You can find in this thread. Around the begining of the thread Or D/L the 0.25 Beta 15 from HERE >> http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/341

>> To Disable the "Ati2evxx.exe" there are a few ways.
1> Go to "Settings">>"Control Panels" >>"Administrative Tools">>"Services". There you can find the "Ati2evxx.exe". Double click on it. At the "Startup Type" Chose - Disable. click OK. think you might have to restart your pc. that's it.

2> Go to "Start" >> "RUN" >> Type -"MSCOFIG". there you will find "ATI Hot key". Chose disable. Restart your pc. that's it.

There is also an artical here >>
http://www.madshrimps.be/?action=gethowto&howtoID=61
which is on how to OC a X1900GT. It's a good read.

Happy OCing your GFX. :D
