why does 64bit crysis not work?

any idea?

i cant find a clear answer on this.

i've tried all the patches and a fresh install and still no luck.

tried both 32bit and 64bit exe's as well as dx9 and dx10 modes

i dont think its the drivers fault.

i've battled this problem many times over the past year or so.

If you're not willing to help don't post.

@Fits

Try the drivers anyway. If that's not it, disable SLI if your running the GTX295. That will give a hint if it runs where to look.

Also what resolution? That may help you sort out whether it's vid card or cpu/ram combination hardware wise causing it.

i've uninstalled and then deleted all the folders and files from the old install.

It works for me just fine, and the fact Fit can't uninstall the game tells me there is file corruption. Happens often with benching rigs. My suggestion is having a ghosted copy of your O/S in case this happens. :toast:
