What is your highest STABLE overclock?

What is the highest stable overclock you can get on your cpu? Please vote and post what CPU you have and what test you run before you call it stable.Also include voltage please. Maybe this will help people have any idea of what they can get out of a CPU

my highest on my X2 240 i have tried is 3.6ghz@1.37v

1hr OCCT
30min AMD overdrive stress test
15min Othros
Wprime stability test
Super PI 32m(2 instances at same time)
3dmark 06 atleast 1 time

as you can see i test my overclocks with different programs to make sure they are "stable"

i5 750 / 4.2GHz with Turbo / 1.47V

run OCCT custom, usually get back around 4 hours or so to verify its still running.
Prime 95 about the same.

I also run 2-3 passes of memtest86+ ver. 4.0 off a bootable disc to make sure timings are good to go.

Usually just to be sure, I set folding loose on both GPU's while Prime or OCCT is on.

i "was" have q6600 , 3.4ghz many loops 3d marks , wprime , xigmatic cooling.
also i run it on 3.6ghz some times but mine have high VID so extra voltage for 200mhz not worth

sneaky it sound like you have a nice little mix of test there. I would be willing to say that your rig won't have any problems with being stable and nice clock on the i5 but i would be alittle worried about that voltage

Well I dont smell smoke and the temps are ok...I have a i7 860 comming so I will be sure to look into my socket and see if I need to worry about anything. From what I've seen so far, Im not too worried.

the first dirt made my old X2 4600+ crash at 2.6ghz and it folded for months and ran orthos for 28hrs it crashed it in about 30min i had to bump the vcore on it alittle. it seems to put alot of stress on the system in ways the test dont

Its been ages since i'v actually tried for a stable overclock. Probably best was Q6600 @ 4GHz 1.344vcore running IBT then WCG all day (using single stage phase change cooling). No screen shot of it though, it was lost when I re-formated.

phase for only 1.34v? thats a great clock on a Q6600 at that voltage. From what i have seen alot of them don't like to clock that high

As this is my gaming machine I've ran at this speed for aprox 3 months with no problems.
Unable to unlock all 4 cores but hey ho....at least i've got a decent OC out of the chip!

Ive stressed this chip to 100 runs of Intelburntest, and it didnt even cry, also my load temps are now 50c sense its now a regular 65-70f in the house and i repasted my Corsair H50 block.

Its stable at these settings at these clocks for 24/7 use.
4.004Ghz @ 1.232volts
3.800Ghz @ 1.164volts
3.600Ghz @ 1.140volts or below(never tested this speed)
3.003Ghz @ 0.992volts
2.833Ghz @ 0.860volts

For 4.2Ghz i need 1.33volts because thats were the FSB starts to FINNALY stress the CHIP.

Im 3dmark06 stable at 1.34volts though at 4.3Ghz, but then the fsb wall requires me to add 1.45volts for 4.35Ghz bench stable. But hey this is very good for my chip.

So far I havnt had a single crash just testing with Intelburntest, so i feel great in that respect, that my system is stable. And will never overheat.
Sucks for people who have AMD Chips, but there are other programs out in the world that do a great job, like Linux and OCCT linpack i belive.

Your guys are gonna think this is one bad @$$ q9550 chip.

^^^^ That right there is my stock clocks for my computer and i ran super PI stable at the clocks(off course) and it gave me 16 second PI. \

^^^^ That right there is a 4.0Ghz over clock on my q9550 and i ran super PI and this is at stock voltage just to add the shock of how good my chip is.
It might be pretty common that chips like this are hitting peoples computers but what do you think

i7 920 @ 4.2GHz (HT)/1.34v is my highest stable. 4.3GHz is ok for gaming and benching but under stress testing it will eventually fail. Specs can be seen to the left.

My highest stable, thus far:

Tried dropping the VCore but it will fail pretty quick if i do that: must be something with the various GTL and skew settings that i leave on auto.

This ain't a 24/7 OC: i usually have it @ 9*225 or 2.025 MHz.

I did crunch at 4.3ghz for a few months but I never confirmed stable. I'll have to see but it's definitely somewhere around there.

I have to agree. But 90nm clocks better then 65nm when it comes to AMD alot of the time amd messed up big time.
