Any chance we can stop the FUD news posting about ryzen/Intel?

@R-T-B - If you are part of the staff, shouldn't you have special tags and such? Or are you in limbo between mortal and undead? :toast:

Simple Answer
Pull him in those threads that you feel where he is failing to differentiating between facts, rumours and his own opinion
also tag a Supermod/message a supermod with your "OPINION"

That has been tried for multiple offenders some of which posted actual wrong information

W1zzars hasn't kicked me out of staff chat yet, so I must be doing something ok...

I would be posting articles now, but it is hard to di from a cellphone on the dog walking route your brother dumped on you... :banghead:

@cdawall , I've been trying since Pascal and Radeon RX series pre-release - it's impossible.
Regardless of which camp I belong to - I don't like reading random crap from random sources either... but I guess most people forgot the difference between news and headlines, and will happily discuss the overclocking potential of Ryzen based on a deleted youtube video which shows nothing, and a non-informative photo of a screenshot which does the same.

BT is our News Editor, if for any reason you wish to challenge either a linked news source or an editorial you should message him in the first instance, in essence news is his domain, Mods patrol the threads relating to the news (posts) but we would not edit or delete news.

Yep, you cannot stop it. It's gotten out of hands. It is now down to readers who have to distinguish news materials.

But the dorks know that they can get the clicks via clickbait articles and giving them what they wanna hear/read. They just want the ad money.

You are on a tech news site.

It is our job to bring the rumors to you to an extent, at least the somewhat credible ones. Otherwise things would get very quiet and be 90% PR posts.

The forums though? I'm with you. Out there be dragons...
:D

Both unrealistic dreams and FUD needs to be combated ... let's just say it loud and clear:
  • Ryzen will not OC to 5 GHz on air
  • IMC will not be able to run all 4 DDR4 slots at 3000MHz or higher (until first BIOS update)
  • It won't stop it from being a great value :D

Not to high jack, did I read correctly or is it a rumor SLI wont work with these CPU'S?

I guess it's whatever. Oh well I have a Ryzen build to finish hope you guys enjoy your afternoon

Only the X370 platform will support SLi, the B350 will support Crossfire only and the A 320 no dual card support. It was a way amd could cut down on prices/licensing fees.

All in all yes its the editors responsibility to decipher the fact from crap here, FUD is against forum rules established by the owner of the site W1zzard.

Nvidia SLI only works on 8x+8x pcie configuration since Pascal ... so with Ryzen SLI works only on X370 chipset because only that chipset supports 8x+8x

People on overclockers (the uk retailer, not overclock) forums noticed wccftech were posting up anything interesting being talked about on there so purposely started adding bullshit (which wccf posted about)

Nope. Not once. I just checked back going on a month. Nothing.

That aside, I've stayed away from these threads unless I'm summoned in some moderator capacity. For me, they aren't worth the time reading. If and when I want information on AMD's new chip and/or Intel's dealing with it, I'll start reading things on it after the product actually launches.

This is not a rumor site. If I want rumors and leaks I'll go to WCCCrap.

ROFL. You forgot it's been like 6 years writing for TPU for me, and no tags you can notice? I had fun for a long time posting when people didn't realize it was me doing the board reviews. :p

You are correct, but doing what we do allows you to hear the same stuff that everyone else does, yet at the same time, clearly notice the sources of the informations. Listing the source lets you filter out those that you'd rather not listen to, since sometimes, news from weird places does hold a bit of truth. Also, this way, you get everything here, and don't have to visit anywhere else.

I can just say factually that without product rumor our newsfeed would have much much less content. Like it or not, that's the talk as of late, we just report it.

I thought all the newies got it.

If RGB reviews, I have no idea what it is. :)

I heard the new chip can cure cancer and cause world peace! #voodoo (someone will get it ...)
