So far only bought one power supply, but my Seasonic GM-750 has been a solid unit.
Running my Ryzen 5 3600, GTX 690, GTX 650 Ti BOOST, 4x HDDs, 3x SSDs, 2x ODDs, Zip drive, and floppy drive like a champ.
And I somehow have an extra SATA connector just in case.

My old PSU for 12 years until i sold my old X58 pc. It was a Thermaltake 1500 watt PSU and worked flawless til i sold it.

For now my PSU is a Phanteks Revolt X 1200W, as together with the 1000 watt version is the only PSU that can run two system from one PSU. So far it has worked great. It´s designet by phanteks while is made by seasonic and has 12 year warranty. So it shut be good and so far it good, besides the fan is little noisy when it starts. Maybe because my system is so silent now. Luckely the hybrid mode where the fan dosent spin below 40 % load or a surten temperature. It only starts a bigger load where i game any way. So not a big problem.

I'm surprised Corsair isn't included in the poll.
Anyway, I have a Corsair RM850x in my main rig and a CX650, which must be 10 years old at least, in a much older rig. No problems to report.
In my secondary machine, I use a Sentey 850, which I think is a clone for this market, but at least it's certified 80 Plus.
I don't know why I never did include it but I've added it now!! :) Feel free to re-vote on it if you wish :) I tend not to go near Corsair units from the AX1200i's I had (4 of if I recall) and they all went bang but there was a lot of a song and dance about them around that time. Went over to EVGA because they where built by Super Flower which I considered a decent, top end PSU.

Lots of replies, glad to see the forum giving me loads to think about :D Thank you all!!

I understand the intent of this poll, but feel it is not really valid. There are just too many variables involved - not least of which is the fact that each brand produces many models of different, and even the same wattage capabilities across a wide range of quality tiers.

Seasonic has 14 different 750W models, for example! As does EVGA!

This means I may avoid the entry/budget series from Brand ABC like the plague, but not hesitate to buy their upper tier models. Corsair and Rosewill come to mind in that scenario.

In general, I "prefer" EVGA and Seasonic. But the poll asks, what brand do I "buy"? Those are to different questions. I frequently buy other than EVGA and Seasonic. It all depends on my needs (and budget) for that specific build.

If this build requires a 500W supply, I will do my homework, research the professional reviews, check the prices, then buy Brand A. If the build requires a 650W supply, I may end up buying Brand B. If building in a mini or micro ATX case, I may need a physically smaller PSU to fit inside that case, so I buy Brand C.

I will also note that in many parts of the world, buyers are stuck with very limited options, and often have no choice in the brand they buy.

So my vote is, "Depends on the build".

Corsair certainly has a bigger market share than some of the others listed. And it seems odd to me that ASUS is on there but Gigabyte is not. And what about Antec, CoolerMaster, Thermaltake, XFX? I could go on.

I realize "Other" is a poll option, but to me, the poll is like asking, "What is your favorite color, yellow, brown, or other?" You are going to get poll results, but, statistically speaking, do those results really tell you want you need? Especially with so many choosing "Other"?

FTR, I like blue and green - but not on my NY strip.
It was stated in the first post that it was just a general thing for others as I really only grab A Tier PSUs and I don't do cheap brands because I do not believe in their quality and with some reviews are terrible.. Also why was Gigabyte not included??... Aside from the fact Gigabyte's PSUs are terrible and can seem to go bang, I don't believe Gigabyte have done a decent release of a product really since X58 days... Even their X79/X99 boards are flaky, I know cos I've had them! But bygones, that's going away from the point and why other was included just to be sure I'd covered the ones I'd missed.

I also understand every build is different, I get that too, I have 14 systems I can turn on at any one point (12 with ATX PSUs) so I get the differences but at the same time, if I find a brand that is decent I do like to stick with it, reliability is paramount and quality are right up the list. Too much hardware to not worth protecting as best as I can when it comes to a PSU... Stuff ain't cheap :)

Only a very few select EVGA models are/were made by SF, perhaps none at present. They've used most, if not all, the major OEMs.

I noticed which is why I think I went over to Seasonic, I've not really had that many issues with either, but I recorded a little clip of what the PSUs where doing (when I mentioned popping earlier)

I think the EVGA's used the Super Flower models for the P and T range? I might be wrong, I'm just guessing on that.. From the results from the voting, I can see that a lot more people here use Seasonic over most other brands, so I'm kinda happy to see that :)

Make/wattage's aside, nice to know. Best go and hunt for a few PSUs I guess then :)

Several other units from EVGA are/were super flower, such as the G2 and G3

Your G+ and units like the GQ, and G5 are FSP.

The G6 is seasonic.

The EVGA G2 and G3 are still built by Superflower (and yes the G2 series is still being produced). If your ever unsure about one of EVGAs models( particularly the OEM) go to their forum and ask in their psu section. A mod will generally get back to you within a day or two. Unlike many other companies they have no problem revealing their OEMs.

With that said, Seasonic make a lot of Corsair's higher end units like the AX and AXi stuff (they seem to use Seasonic for AX/AXi below 1kw and Flextronics for everything beyond)
I thought AX was seasonic X/XP2 platform with the exception of AX1200 that was flextronics while all AXi are flextronics

I don't really have a brand favorite.. I have used Corsair and Thermaltake, as well as Cooler Master. I am now using a Seasonic, and I actually like it quite a bit. I also have a G1 SuperNova and.. the jury is still out on it. I don't really like it. It feels cheap, and it turns the system off when I reboot it lol. It does come back on.. but it shouldn't turn off.
I already gave you a spec on the G1

Not sure. I buy one every five years or so. When I do purchase I look at reviews, price. Brand means nothing.

Oh, you're right! (Update: it might not be wrong: there are a lot of common votes across brands. I haven't verified it if it totals the given one though).

@phill As of this time, the votes are a total of 113, and the correct/wrong percentages are like this:

Asus 0 0%
Be Quiet! 6 5.3% / 10%
Enermax 6 5.3% / 10%
EVGA 16 14.16% / 26.7%
FSP 6 5.3% / 10%
Seasonic 42 37.17% / 70%
Super Flower 11 9.7% / 18.3%
Other 26 23.01% / 43.3%

Total voters are still showing as 60, so the wrong percentages.

As for me, the current brand is Seasonic (X-650 - I liked the aesthetic and @Oklahoma Wolf recommended it in his review) but now Seasonic only has the S12II series of PSUs available here, so I'd be looking at Antec's HCG 750 or Earthwatts series for my next build(or reuse my current one if possible).

AFAIK no AXi from seasonic, all flextronics - due to the dsp, at that time, and i'm not aware of any current AXi changes to seasonic oem

I have had several CX and cxm units. The old green label ones are far far iffier than the grey label ones, which have been rock solid.

My main PC uses a HX750i, which is rather old at this point in time but yet is still rock solid.

Although I really don't have a fav brand to go with, if I were to buy one ATM it would be a Seasonic unit.
In reality, if it's a good quality unit that fulfills the specs I need I'll get it. The last units I recall buying are Rosewill Hercules 1600W PSU's (2 of them) and those are still working great now, got one in this machine and no problems at all to speak of.

For the wattage and the apparent quality they have the price was right as in cheap, they've certainly held up well over time with all that I do here.

AFAIK no AXi from seasonic, all flextronics - due to the dsp, at that time, and i'm not aware of any current AXi changes to seasonic oem

Not sure why that is, maybe because it's got multiple selections?? I would just look at which has the highest votes and go from there :D

That's what I figured. I haven't verified this though.

If this is the case, then you will have to account for the votes instead of the voter. Because in percentages you otherwise cannot make those tally to 100% - because the person is only counted once and the vote's counted for each category.

The problem with non-OEM brands like Corsair and EVGA is precisely that - not all units are made by the same manufacturer. Some are good, others not so much.

That doesn't mean all units of a particular manufacturer are duds - maybe you got a bad unit.
