Well I have now found out the hard way never to fuck with drivers again . this set BSOD on me every time fucked every thing up . Tried to install 10.10e off disk get nothing but errors ! Man I have never had this kind of shit happen when I was on nVidia cards what a load of crap . I have no idea other than to reinstall my os again to fix this fuck up ! GOD what a joke !
The only joke here is blaming your issues on AMD as if it's their software thats the main issue. No problems here man and generally speaking none elsewhere too. I'll even put my 5850 back in to prove it to you if I must. Oh, in the interest of total honesty, I did get a BSOD once recently but that was after trying to install the 11.1 beta on top of Von Modded 10.12. Not really surprising that it didn't like that too much.
If you would just settle down and troubleshoot this patiently and properly it will surely be fine. Though it sounds like something is mucked up pretty good on your system at this point. I suggest running Von's TwL Cleaner to purge all the crap for sure. Follow these instructions for it and download from the link below:
1. Uninstall AMD Catalyst Suite from Control Panel. Don't Express Unintall if you have an AMD chipset motherboard.
REBOOT IN SAFE MODE

2. Open Device Manager (Control Panel> System and Security> System> Device Manager). Uninstall all devices in "Display adapters" class.Tick "Delete the Driver Software for this Device" also if available. DON'T right-click "Scan for hardware changes" afterward (we will do it later, we want the Display adapters class to be empty for now). Minimize Device Manager window.
3. Run latest "AMD Catalyst TwL Cleaner 3.9.2.cmd". Say yes to all deletion asked. Delete the pinpointed registry GUIDs (important). Don't reboot.
4. Go back to Device Manager windows. Right-click "Scan for hardware changes".
Reboot in Normal Mode.
5. Install your new AMD Catalyst driver.

I'm so confused as to why AMD has the normal 11.1 drivers on their download site and 11.1a hotfix drivers at another obscure location where you will only find them from a tech forum.
Running the 11.1a drivers, have the tessellation slider, performance and MLAA is good in BC2.
Yeah good question what's the hotfix exactly then? I gotta read more posts at G3D I guess.
