Should animated avatars be allowed?

yes and no because for anny one still using 56k will not be able to use the sight and also it might slow down the server to much other then that is a grand idea
 
animated avs are just gif files, which vary in size, if the file doesn't violate tpu's current size restrictions we shouln't have a problem with people on slower lines.
 
Well, you have to think...if all Urlyin does is remove the .GIF filter, you'd still have to comply to the size requirement ;).

He was going to ban people that had them no matter who gave it to you.


I'm on high speed so I like them, but the people on 56k it kills them. It really slows them down when people start using the ones that are 2mb.

i think urlyin will see it in a new light once his pm inbox is flooded with requests and he sees that it was zek that motivated us to pm him and also it was zek that gave me the av to show urlyin and also it seems like zek's been fighting this issue in the mod lounge too, i supposs the extra boost from us supporters will help

I think that it's a bad idea. I HATE moving avatars, they distract me.

I can give two valid reasons as to why they shouldn't be allowed.
